Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the Course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness a 7 out of 10. Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose btech is core subjects, and electives. The curriculum of this course provides practical knowledge on engineering concepts, including fundamental engineering concepts and specialization-based concepts. The timing of the 1st CT exams is late but the frequency of the exams is okay.
Internships Opportunities
GBPEC offers internship opportunities for students.Training and Placement Cell (T&P cell) handles the recruitment process for internships and placements. The T&P cell checks the eligibility of students. And then announces
Placement Experience
The highest placement of our college is 12 lakh per annum. Mostly the placements are around 4-10LPA. Many student focuses more on GATE exam rather than preparing for their placement exams. From 6th semester students become eligible for the campus placements. Companies which give placement here are BEL, LnT, TCS,IBM
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee structure for the btech program in gbpec pauri garhwal is around ?70000 (accurate ?69015). Our college students also apply for the NSP scholarship for every category.. the fees for general students is ?69015per year and it remains same for every year..
Campus Life
Annual festivals here includes Goonj(kind of dance and entertainment program includes DJ night also) and Josh( a kind of sports day). A large no. Of books is available in the central library and even every department has its own library. Open gym ,badminton court and open ground is also in this college..there are many clubs in the college which includes art and craft club, cultural club, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is kind of okay. Here in the second year hostel 5 people shares one room which includes bed ,table, chair and almirah for each person. There is no fan provided in the hostel. The meal provided in the hostel is overall good.
Admission
I applied for DU and JNU along with gbpec.. I made it to DU for bsc chemistry but could not made it to JNU for french course because of the high competition there for the foreign courses.. I chose gbpec over DU because I got admission in the btech course ( production engineering). Admission process for this college is that you must score 45% in 12th (and 40% for reserved categories..) You must have appeared for JEE exam.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 60:294. 30% of our faculties don't know how to teach in a proper or in a systematic way. But 70% of our faculties are really helpful and approachable and teach or explain excellently .. Btech course is really tough that's why there are too much backs every year specially in the 1st year..
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Chemistry)
Btech was my first preference and I got selected for it in gbpec so I didn't opt for DU
