The location of Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology is situated in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
The College campus is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
The Himalayan mountain range is visible from college campus.

Dislikes

College placements are not that good. Only some students of some branches like Computer Science get placements in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Btech have different branches, students can choose Btech branch according to their interests. After four year Btech Degree students can take job in different companies. After Btech is completed, students have options to pursue higher education (Mtech) and PhD or they can search for jobs.

Tution fee structure yearly is around 65000,per semester 32000. Hostel fee structure yearly is nearly 37000, per semester 18000 including hostel mess fee. The scholarship available in this college is nsp scholarship.

The college infrastructure is good. All branches have different departments. College have Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium (M.G Auditorium) for events and cultural programs. College campus have some different shops for food, stationary etc.

Hostel Facilities

The college provide 1 hostel room for 3 boys. The boys have separate studying table, almirah and bed. The hostel room have lights, charging switch. The top floor of hostel also have balcony. The hostel rooms doesn't have fans, so bring your own table fan here. You have to clean your room by your own.

Hostel Fee: INR 18480 per year

Admission

I choose this college for my Btech from counselling. The admission process of this college is that you have to take JEE MAINS exam and get a good rank in it, then you have to fill colleges in counselling form online according to your choices and you will get college according to your ranking.

Faculty

In this college, there are Professor and some Guest faculty. This college offers Btech in Computer Science, AIML, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (including Manufacturing Engineering), Civil Engineering and Biotechnology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

From the 7th semester you can sit on the placement drives.. Multiple companies visited like accenture,adobe,tcs etc. The percentage is little bit low this year..i have not much knowledge about it right now. I will try to get a good job.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

-i have no choice to choose other college because my jee rank was not so good and in private college there fee structure is very high so I have to choose this college over other colleges. -yes i am rejected by many college because my jee rank was too low to get there admission. - you have to clear jee mains exam to get admission in my college. I applied for this college only as my parents allowed for this one only as it is closer to my home. The college lacks a bit in terms of infrastructure as compared to other colleges in the region. The placements are not good enough. To take admission into Btech 1st year in this college, one needs to give JEE Mains exam and UKSEE for lateral entry and 12th merit is accepted for admission in Biotechnology.
