- The thing that I like the most is its location near the Ganga ghat which increases its beauty and the market is within the half kilometres so we can go whenever we wants to purchase something.
- NIT Patna also has a rich history of producing very talented engineers and reachers
- All clubs are active, events are organising every year and fests too.
Dislikes
- Its small campus which has a size of approx 40 acres.
- All the boys hostel are outside the campus of NIT Patna except kosi extension
- College life is good but not the best opportunities are limited to grow skills
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum at NIT Patna is pretty good, but it's not perfect. I'd say it's relevant about 80% of the time, and comprehensive about 75% of the time. What I like is that the curriculum is mostly aligned with what the industry needs, and we get to learn about the latest technologies. The faculty is also really knowledgeable in their fields, which is a big plus. However, there are some areas that need improvement. Some courses feel outdated or less relevant, and we don't have many options for electives or specializations. I wish we had more flexibility to choose what we want to learn. In terms of preparation for real-world applications, I'd say the curriculum does a decent job. We get to work on projects and labs, which helps us apply what we've learned. But sometimes I feel like we focus too much on theory and not enough on practical skills
Fees and Financial Aid
My one year fee of this college is 9600 rs which includes 4500 rs for even and 5100 rs for odd semester respectively which includes all fees such as registration fees, labs, SAC fees, gym and all activities. The tution fee actually depends on the income or category as my father has income below 1 lakh so I have 0 tution fees but my friend who has income certificate of 1 to 5 lakh range so he has to may total of 53000 rs per year.
Campus Life
Corona and melange which is the technical and cultural fest of NIT Patna it basically held in the end of January month every year. There is a wide range of books , magzine and journals available in the central Library of NIT PATNA where you can go and study. For sports and other extra curricular activities there is a building name Student Activity Centre( SAC) which has badminton court, table tennis court, squash, gym , music room and dance room where you can go and spend your time in extra curricular activities also
Admission
I did not apply for any college other than NIT PATNA, this is because is the one of government college which is an institute of national importance and most importantly it is NIT which is one per college in every state of India. It is also one of Nits in India. I have gone through jossa counciling just after JEE Advanced examination. In sixth round of jossa I got admission in this institute in the department of electrical Engineering.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio at nit patna is somewhere in between 1:8 and 1:10.The faculty to student relationship is very good and the faculties are highly qualified and experienced and the approach of teaching is also very good. I like the some faculties of Electrical Engineering department such as Dr. Sanjeev Kumar sir, Mala de mam, R K madal sir who is also our HOD . These are the best faculties of our department. These faculties are very kind and helpful so most students like them. There are two types of exam such as mid sem and end sem which held every semester at NIT Patna . The exam is quite difficult but most of the students passed the examination rarely a student failed.
