Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum prepare us for real world problems. But if there are some new technologies are added in curriculum then it will be good for students. The timing of exam is 3 hours. Exam difficulty level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

College provide good internship opportunities for the students. Companies gave average of 15000 stipend per month to a student. Many students got more stipend. The students who do hardwork, the grab the internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

There are many companies visited our college. Last year 12 lacks per annum package offered to a student. Percentage of students get placed is not good. But if you hard work then you will get a good placei.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of this college is 60000 per anum for boys. For girls the College fees is about 30000 per annum.College also provide many scholarship schemes for students on state level, central level.

Campus Life

TWASK is the annual fest organised in the College.There are about 5k books available in library. In the College campus there is a badminton court, volleyball court and a table tennis court also. There is sports meet organised in the month of September.

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel room, there is a bed, study table, a chair, lamp, almirah and a fan. Mess quality is medium, not so good and not so bad . Here many PG are present in Sundernagar. Average rent of a PG is 5000 per month.

Admission

It is the first state government engineering college in Himachal Pradesh and also have good infrastructure than other government engineering colleges. Thats why I choose this college. You can join this college through entrance test like JEE and HPCET.

Faculty

Faculty of college is really good. They are helpful. I think the faculty ratio is about 1:20 . There are total of 3 exams in one semester. 2 exams are on college level (MST) and other is end semester exam. MST are of 50 marks each and ESE is of 60 marks

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took civil because is good and all teachers are on there post and are very good. Civil engineering plays very important role in construction of buildings and dams etc. Exams are mostly held in September November and December for odd sem and for Even sem it is feb April and may.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

My other options were both private colleges which I've stated earlier. They both are very imfamous colleges. But also tgere is a lot of students who took admission there. And i think they are overrated and over populated. I personally think that govt. College is better even if there is less social activities. I applied to all the Government colleges and all the colleges that come under hptu and choose this college because it is considered to be best for government civil engineering course and I had the option to choose any college but I choose this because it is a good college for the admission we have to give entrance test or on the basis of JEE mains so after the admission test there is merit list and the counselling and you get the admission letter that's all it's it's a very easy process you just have to score there is a lot of competition but yeah you can get admission not easily but not that tough...Read More
