Welcome to NIT PATNA

The course here is updated as per the New Education Policy 2020. The courses prepare the children for real world to great extent. Frequency and timing of exams is scheduled such that students can Focus on studies as well as extra co curricular activities.

Currently I am in first semester. So I have no idea of stipend but I have already mentioned the name of companies. I can update it till 2nd year so that totally correct information can be delivered. But the internship is good what I heard from seniors.

The placements of the college are pretty much decent. Students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Students from here have been admitted to many giant companies like Google, Amazon, PayTM, L&T Constructions, Aditya Birla group, etc. Some of the students don't go for campus placements and they either go for higher studies like Mtech, PhD or go for preparation of Government Jobs like IAS, IES,ESE,etc.

Fees: Here the fees is relatively low as compared to other colleges if you belong to SC/ST category or one having income less than one lakh per annum. If you fulfil the above criteria, you will get full tution fee waiver which is ?62,500 per semester. All you would have to pay nearly 45k rupees per semester. But if your income lies between 1 to 5 lpa, you would get 2/3rd waiver of tution fees only. But having income more than 5 lpa will not result any kind of fee waiver which means you have to pay the full fees. Also, while getting admission, you will be given the fee structure pdf which has the plan of 4 years. Generally, this doesn't increase or decrease as per the structure. Scholarships: Being admitted to NIT with NIRF ranking under 100, you can have opportunity to avail many scholarship like NSP, SHRAMAN SCHOLARSHIP, FFE, RELIANCE, HDFC and many more...

The campus is really good. We have two campus one at PATNA and another at BIHTA. Currently I live at PATNA campus which is smaller than newly built Bihta campus. Here there are active clubs like SAPTAK, NATVANSH, VISTA, etc. which help in various extra co curricular activities. We have very good classrooms with AC in them.

Hostels here are good enough for those who know the hostel conditions earlier. We get one bed, one personal table and chair each. Also personal WI-FI and Charging ports are provided near everyone's bed. Meal is not bad. It's very Bad for you if you are a pure vegetarian, you will see them cooking and distributing in the same utensils without separating veg from non veg. But rest all is good as you have options to eat. If you don't like one thing Just take another thing.

I did not apply for much colleges. I chose this as I had expected this as per my rank in JEE Main. I was thinking of NIT JAMSHEDPUR which is just slightly better than this in terms of package. You can choose admission to this college if you get a decent rank in JEE Main examination. Then you have to sit for JoSSA counselling in which colleges would be allotted as per your rank.

Being a prestigious college of the country, it has one of the world's finest professors. One or two may be bad but remember no college has everything perfect. We can approach them on their e-mails or through CR (can say monitor :)). I don't want to include the names whom I like or hate ????. There are two exams in a semester: mid sem and end sem. Also sometimes surprise tests are conducted to engage students in studying.
