Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good Exams, tutorials, quizzes, practicals happens Soft skills, communication skills classes happens in which a problem is given and a group of 4-5 students discuss and put their point of view which help in reducing stage fear
Internships Opportunities
Right now I am a first year student in my first semester,so I have not done any intership till now . I have applied for the interships offer by iit Bombay for helping out juniors in cracking jee advanced.
Placement Experience
Placement statistics are very good. Many of our senior are getting pre placement offers and overall placement are top notch If in case I am not getting placement I will try to get into buisness field and will be starting a new Buisness
Fees and Financial Aid
I belong to general ews category and family income 6lakh-8lakh Tution fee(year)-2lakh Hostel fees (year)-70000approx Miscellaneous charges (year)-25000approx Electricity charges -10000 I am not availing any kind of fee waivers Fee waivers is for the sc,st , for people of sc,st community tution fee is completely waived irrespective of their parent income Students of general,ews,obc category fee waiver is given on the basis of parents income If parents income is less than 1 lakh complete tution fees is waived If parents income is between 1 lakh and 5 lakh 2/3 tution fee is remitted Many scholarship are offered by college but in almost all the scholarship their is criteria of parents income less than 5 lakh which make no sense Suppose if someone parent is earning 6lakh per annum,3 lakh per annum of their 1 child is given to college only 3 lakh is left.if they have other children how can they afford their education and their expenses.
Campus Life
Campus is very beautiful and scienc as we see in movies James thomsan building which is 175 year old is the main attraction So many clubs are there you have to make choices which to join which to not Best infrastructure
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is given by the college and hostel facilities are pretty good Mess food is also good,menu keep changing every week,all types of food is included and proper balance diet food is available. Hygiene and girl safety is also very nice
Admission
I chose IIT roorkee as it has very strong legacy,175 year old college and great alumni network and best location in uttarakhand IIT roorkee has nirf ranking of 5 and among top 5 IITs of India,it has it's own brand value Placement statistics are also very good
Faculty
In our classes many branches students are there and one professor is there , strength of class vary subject to subject. Almost every class has strength more than 100 students After class there are tutorials in which strength is of 20 students and one TA in which we can ask questions and doubts Practicals also happens Exams are conducted pen paper mode ,in one sem two time exams are conducted -1. mid sem -2. End sem Exams are not that tough if you study 50-60% you will be able to get good cgpa
