Dislikes
- Some rooms don’t have fans. It is very difficult to attend the classes.
- Classes are not regular. The teachers are not punctual.
Course Curriculum Overview
The department is good. The seniors are very friendly. The faculty is not that good. Only one and two professors are nice. Also the classrooms are large with hundreda of students so it becomes difficult for the students to understand the concepts.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am unreserved. I had to pay Rs. 15,460.00 for one year. For other categories, it was less. For SC/ST, 8k-9k and for OBC, 10k-12k. It depends upon from which category you belong to. It is far less than private colleges.
Campus Life
Miranda has its own fest. But it's only for girls. It has various societies which offers various things to learn. It promotes both academics and sports. The campus is very nice. It has various places to just sit and enjoy the scene.
Admission
Miranda was my fifth choice. My first choice was Hindu college. I was left by 1 mark. My score was 764 and the cutoff was 765. Miranda is not so good as Hindu in terms of studies but ut ensures a safe environment for the girls.
Faculty
There are total 87 students in the sociology department and only one professor. It becomes difficult for the students at last benches to hear the professor. The classroom should be divided. Also faculties don't clear about the course structure. They should explain each and everything.
Other Applied Colleges
Hindu College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Sociology)
Didn’t cross the cutoff
