Course Curriculum Overview
Perfect curriculum. High quality education is provided here. The entire B tech program is divided into 8 semesters. The first year courses are common for all the branches. It includes the much needed programming languages also. The reference books are also of the international standard.
Internships Opportunities
I am not very sure about that as I had only begun my undergraduate studies here at the National Institute of Technology Calicut. As the National Institute of technology is one of the premier institutes in India it will have facilities of internships.
Placement Experience
There are a lot of placement opportunities here at NIT Calicut. The computer science branch is having 100 percent placement followed by electronics and communication engineering, mechanical and EEE.
College Events
The national institute of technology is famous for its cultural and technical events throughout a year. Tathva is the Techfest of our college which contains many technical events DJ night etc. Ragam is the cultural fest which is conducted in the month of March which one of the best cultural fests in India. Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is expensive but there is the relaxation of low income families. For annual income, less than one lakh tuition fee is zero. For annual income 1-5 lakhs, it is almost 22000 for one semester. For annual income above 5 lakhs, it is around 62000 for one semester

The national institute of technology has many scholarships. Many multinational companies offer huge scholarships for the eligible ones. There is a branch of SBI which provides loan for students of the national institute of Technology Calicut
Campus Life
The labs of the national institute of technology are well equipped. It also has facilities to play almost all the games. Volleyball, handball, basketball, cricket, football, table tennis, badminton swimming, tennis hockey facilities are available.
Hostel Facilities
Good hostel infrastructure. I will give you 8 on 10. National Institute of technology Calicut has 11 hostels which include ladies hostels. The hostels are a little bit crowdy as the number of students is increasing. But new hostels are being built.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, of course, they are helpful. They provide the institute with many infrastructures. They give motivation for the freshers. They regularly visit our campus. Most of the alumni are now on high social status.
Exam Structure
NIT Calicut follows a continuous evaluation policy. Each semester contains Two tests and a final end semester examination. The marks for each examination is decided by the course faculties and student representatives. The exams are of high standard and evaluation is strictly based on evaluation policy.
Admission
I got admission in NIT Calicut after clearing a joint entrance exam. After that, it was a 7 round long allotment process through which I got the admission here. There was also a chance for changing the institute through a special round.
Faculty
The faculties here are well educated and most of them are well, experienced also. Faculties are having doctorates. The faculties regularly come to the class to take lectures and they also give us doubt clearance sections.
