MSIT: A PLACE OF KNOWLEDGE

The faculty members are very helpful, the college managing committee, the disciplinary committee are very active about the cases of ragging, etc. They also consult a psychiatrist for the development of the mental health of students and to give mental support. The psychiatrist takes the words confidential, no one can know about the conversation with the person. They help us to get rid of personal problems also.

Entrance Exam

The college is affiliated to MAKAUT and approved by AICTE. All the courses taught here are approved by AICTE. The course of Electrical Engineering is one of them. Now, the total intake for a session for EE is 120. The faculties are undoubtedly very good, they explain the lessons in such a way that any student can capture it.

Yes, the college provides internship and industrial visits. In the last semester, we got an internship, in the system house of Siemens Ltd, which was on PLC and SCADA based automation systems. They also provided us a certificate of participation and an industrial visit.

MSIT has a rich and caring Training and Placement cell. The Placement cell organizes Campus Recruitment Drives in collaboration with some companies and eligible students gate the opportunity to sit for an interview. After that according to the quality, students get placed in many companies. They assist us for our placement, but as this is not a placement agency, don't give any guaranty of job.

There are some cultural clubs in our college, they celebrate some events like: 1. The music club Sargam organizes some musical events. 2. Rotaract MSIT organizes social events like Blood Donation camp, rural reporting, etc. 3. Cultural club Yuva organizes the Cultural fest Advaya and Teachers day, Rabindranath birthday, etc. 4. The tech club Megatronics organize Tech extra, the intra college Tech fest, and Paridhi: inter college tech fest.

The college has a fee structure, that is not so expensive but not feasible also. The needy students get the Tuition Fee Waiver if they can produce the proper proofs. According to the rule of WB government, some student gets a full term fee waiver, some get a half fee waiver.

College gives Tuition fee waivers to the top 10% of each stream whose family income is not more than 5000 per month. And after that according to the merit and less family income(more than 5000/ month but less than 10000/month), some students get a half fee waiver.

Yes, every year cricket and football tournaments are organized by the games club. The labs are well equipped. The students can do anything as their co-curricular activity like playing, painting, dancing, singing, etc and they are appreciated by our college.

College doesn't have its own hostel. But there are some hostels nearby the college campus. The overall infrastructure of this college is very good. The classrooms are as big that it can contain the full strength. The labs are well equipped. The toilets are also neat and clean.

The seniors enrich us by their experiences of their present job, about their interviews at different companies and also give the study materials for higher studies also. They are very helpful to us, just like the brother from different mother

There are a total of 8 semester exams in 4 years. The examinations conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. Each theory paper and the practical paper contains 100 marks, including the internal marks. The internal marks are given as per the AICTE rule, in a continuous evaluation procedure.

I scored good rank in WBJEE in 2015 and got admission through the e-counseling process of WBJEEB. Besides that, the rank of JEEMAIN is also taken in the counseling process. Students must have a good rank in WBJEE or JEEMAIN or in both to get admitted to this college.

Being a student, I am very grateful to my faculties because they take care of every one of the classes. They show their strictness whenever it is needed but don't hurt any of the students. Our teachers also motivate us for higher studies, tell us about the future scopes of our course.
