Likes
- Infrastructure and facilities are quite good and impressive with around 380 acres of campus.
- Senior are very responsive and respect and there is no ragging like things.
- Any problem and queries can be resolved easily whether it's document, academic, etc.
Dislikes
- Boys and the girls ratio is very low.Around 500 girls and 3000 boys.
- College is situated 20km from main city. So there's no city life. But you can get daily basis things in the campus.
- Distance between hostel and class is big. So for we have to walk very far for class and for lunch we return and again go to class.
Course Curriculum Overview
Obviously Btech for going in technological field. In first year they thought all subject and lab and workshop. And after they teach department wise subject. They have available facilities for real life application learning.
Internships Opportunities
In NIT Agartala, numbers of companies here provide intership and placement, mostly core company and tech company come. Last year phonepe and Google also came here. You can get intership easily. So internship is quite good.
Fees and Financial Aid
For Tuition around 75000, It can be zero if you submit income document of less 5 than lacs. And for hostel and mess I paid around 40000 per semester. For SC student tuition fees fully remission. You can get here NSP, ONGC, etc. scholarship and I am from Bihar so I am getting student credit card from Bihar government.
Campus Life
We have tech fest Moksha which is great and held in summer. College have enough amount of books mostly subject related. Facilities and technological aspects is impressive. I think NIT Agartala has best Sports facilities and activities among all NIT's. Students here are very friendly. Here we have different great clubs for everything you can think like coding, dancing, singing, entrepreneurship, etc..
Hostel Facilities
For first year you have to share room with one student. And then after you can choose whether to single or double person. Hostel has bathroom, lift, mess, etc. For first year ,Mess is average but I think they are planning to improve it. In breakfast they have bread, aaloo paratha, idli, kachodi for different days and bananas and tea daily. In lunch rice, roti, dal, salad, papad, achar and different sabji for different days. Dinner have non-veg(chicken, fish, eggs) and veg option along rice and roti. Hostel is affordable and you can register it on college site easily.
Admission
I wanted to get CSE but for my rank in JEE I am getting NIT Agartala and NIT Patna, I prefer NIT Agartala because it has good facilities and infrastructure and also placement and internship is better. For admission JEE mains and rank should be 18000 for CSE (Gen).
Faculty
More than enough facilities available. I am in first year so some faculties are PhD student. Faculties are nice, responsive and active. Some facilities didn't have experience of teaching and not good in English, it makes very difficult to understand. Exam are easy as of first if you read the notes provided by faculties that will be enough for exam. There's mid term and end sem per semester. In first year they thought all subject but then after you study in your department wise subject.
