A deep dive into NIT Patna

The curriculum is like other nits and iits , it has every relavant topic and practical that will give us the deeper insight in that subject to be applied in the real world. The areas of improvement would be the out of the box thinking encouragement . Also the frequency of exams is good and the difficulty level is at par as taught by our teachers.

NIT Patna provides attractive internship offers, which mostly works well from the third year of education. Students are able to get internship in some of the best companies like, Google, Amazon, Infosys, etc, and most of them do off campus as well for better experience. The Training and Placement Cell plays an active role in ensuring that these sorts of opportunities are present, which makes students industry-ready. However, with such claims, a few reviews indicated that internship availability is about average but may not be as broad for the institution as compared to other institutions. All in all, Patna is very good when it comes to potential internship matter in diverse domains.

Students become eligible for placement from 5th semester. Many companies visit the campus including tcs, tata , Wipro etc. the placements for this year is going on so I don't have data , I can provide last yr placements , total offers made were 639 , average package was 13.3 Lpa, highest package was 52 lpa , participate companies were 112 and lowest package was 6 lpa . 80% students for placed . My plans after getting the degree is to grab a well paid job by honing my skills and doing well in academics.

I paid 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees as whole year fee including both hostel and academic fees, I had fee waiver under weak economic families earning from 1 lakh to 5 lakh per year so I had 2/3rd tution fee remitted but no remittance on hostel fee . My some batchmates being below 1 lakh got full tuition fee remitted but everyone has to pay full hostel fee no matter which category they lie in . A financial aid is given by govt. of Bihar in the name of Bihar student credit card yojna which I wish to apply before this year , we can get a bonafide from the college which will be used for providing that scholarship.

The National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna) has an annual technical and cultural festival called Corona and Melange, Corona, The technical fest showcases students' technical skills and innovations through events like robotics, circuit designing, and programming , Melange , The cultural fest includes dancing, singing, and other activities. The central library has a wide range of books from literature to science , the classes are equipped with smartboards and ACs, the sports facilities are not quite good as there is only one playground for all sports , there are various groups run by students including yoga club , photography club(vista) , ASCE and many more which bring joy and happening to the campus life of students

My room is triple sharing , it's quite small so there is congestion sometimes , we have 3 cupboards , 2 study tables and 2 chairs , meal food is sometimes good, sometimes there are insects in it , the menu is good and somedays there are delicious meals like paneer and Manchurian , the registration process for hostel is completed at the time of academic registration and affordability is quite good compared to other colleges

I applied for vit , comedk based colleges , wbjee based colleges , but I chose this because it's an institution of national importance, it's an NIT so it gives us a proud feeling and the best minds from. I didn't got rejected from other colleges , I chose nit patna above them . Admission process is through JEE mains , we have to get good rank in it to get admission in nit patna . A rank of 30k is preferred to get admission in reputed courses in nit patna

The faculty to students ratio is nice here , facilities are very supportive and approachable. I liked every faculty be it Joseph sir , subrata sir , zeeshan mam . There are 2 exams in a semester , one is midsem and the other is endsem , that makes it 4 exams in a year . Course curriculum is very relevant and the teachers are very inspiring and motivating.
