Course Curriculum Overview

4

Placements are good and so also it is fun to study mechanics influenced me to study. It prepares me in real world application by providing internships. It should be more practical rather than theoretical, else everything is good. Exams are conducted frequently and their difficulty is also hard. It is not easy to score by studing one night, it requires regirous preparation.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are various companies such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle visit our campus for pre placements. Usually the internships provided by them is usually unpaid, but if you are an good candidate they might give you a pre placement offer. Firstly you have to give written coding test, then after cracking it you need to appear for interview round to get selected for the internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements stats of mb college is quite good. Almost 80 percent of students get placed despite many are from core branches, in which jobs are very less. If i am not getting placement, i will give GATE exam to pursue my higher studies in IITs

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tution fees goes upto 1.5 lakh rs per year, but there are certain benifits given to the students from poor background. If your family income is less than 1 lakh per year, you entire tuition fees will be remitted. If your family income is between 1lakh rs to 5 lakh rs your two-third of fee will be remitted, also if you are an sc-st or pwd student, your 100 percent tution fee is remitted. Since, my father is an railway employee and his income is more than 10 lakhs rs, I need to pay my entire tution fees without any wavier. Caution money is around 7000rs and hostel and mess fee combined is around 30000 rs. There are a few scholarship programme for students such as NSP, reliance, ffe, but they are only for very poor students.

Campus Life

4.5

The overall experience of my college is quite good there are club the participate and the orientation, there is regular events, so also the sports culture is also quite good, there are various tournaments organised throughout the year, and my college participate in INTER-NIT tournaments. Our performance is also good in that INTER-NIT matches as we practice very much for that. The buildings of my college is good, the infrastructure is impressive, they just require a little bit of renovation.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The Hostel where we live is named after Rabindra Nath Tagore, in short form RNT which is also name of our hostel. Actually it is more than a hostel its more like hotel, but the mess food is very bad, quality of food is not good at all we need to eat outside for nutrients. Hostels are very affordable it takes only 30000 for 1 semester which is of 6 months which is qiute low as compared to private colleges.

Admission

I choose NIT Agartala due to its NIT tag, I was getting computer science branch in state government colleges, but he exposure in NIT is quite good. You have to give JEE MAINS exam to get selected in my college. It is very difficult exam, there are 14 lakhs student appear in this exam evey year, out of which hardly 30,000 are able to make it. For general category student cut off is usually 150-160 marks out of 300, to get NIT.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is not very good, they are just people with lot of ego. A few of the faculties are good but most of them just don't know how to teach also. Students get bored easily and start to do other class assignments to save their time at home and study in that particular period. The gender ratio of my college is okay as comapared to other engineering colleges, it is around 7:3 between boys and girls.

Every year placements happen and about 80 percent of the total students of the institute get placed in various dream tier and other companies with good packages. The packages depend on year to year, more specifically on hiring trends. I still did not make a decision for my post degree plans.
