Everything about my college

The discipline level is very much high, faculties are somewhat good but only in CSE. Uniform is compulsory. You can't grow beards. If you will, you'll get fined. College rules are college rules, whatever they will say you have to follow them, without questioning them. Questioning will lead you to more problems.

The course curriculum is good. The examination is conducted on the semester basis, however, semester exams are usually a little late compared with other engineering colleges. For even semester its examinations are conducted in the May/June and for odd sem, its conducted on Dec/Jan.

Placements ain't that good, or you can say that there is no placement. If someone is getting campus placement that's just because the management of college gives those students to that company. Because of IIT, Patna(which shares the boundary with our college) we have some good chances of getting placed in good companies if you have some skills then you can get easily placed. Our college doesn't provide an internship. Our super seniors got placement @?10000/month stipend.

In the CSE branch, we organize lots of events almost every month. We are connected with CSI(computer society of India) which organizes lots of events and funds them. Events like seminars, convention, workshops are organized once in every month.

The fee structure is not so expensive if you'll compare it with other engineering colleges, It's around 100000 per year if you're a day scholar and 170000 per year if you'll choose a hostel. ?40000 per semester + examinations and other fees around 10000 per semester. Plus 15000 per year if you'll choose the bus means you have to pay 115000 per year for B.Tech.

You can get student loan via BSCC(Bihar Student Credit Card) scheme easily. Its a program of the Bihar government. You can apply directly from DRCC Office, Patna or some officials will come to the college to inform you about this.

Events organized by the CSE branch are the only extra curriculum activities organized in our college. CSE Labs are Good(can say this), there will be no sports activity, at least not for the day scholars. Hostelites will get some chance in sports activities but that will be organized only after college timing or in college holidays.

I haven't chosen the hostel facility so I can't say much about this. Almost 70000 is the fees of hostel and mess per year. As far as I know, the hostel is not so good, it's very dirty and I warden is not cool with the students. You have to follow some illogical rules of hostels strictly(if your school is bad then this college must be worst for you)(Hostel is within college campus)

There is no alumni network or anything like that. They are somewhat helpful if you'll ask them. TBH no one cares what you are doing in your college, even you will not care what your juniors or seniors are doing. The only reason is there are some very strict rules and very strict fine policy. If you are not PERFECTLY DISCIPLINED, you'll pay more fine than your tuition fees.

In my dept(CSE) most of the facilities are nice unlike the facilities of other branches. They(faculties from other branches) don't even listen about your problem when they will find out that you're not from their branch, they also torture us in many ways like giving low marks in internals.
