Likes
- The campus of the college is great , it's on the bank of river ganga with a majestic view of river ganga from the hostels still infrastructure is something that requires improvement.
- All teachers are well qualified with atleast of masters degree and PHD degree. Faculties are better than ones expectations.
- Placement cell are not upto the mark to be honest , it needs some good men inside of the system to attract better companies. Only TCS , Wipro and some sales companies visit college for campus placement.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure needs to get some attention by the officials specially the auditorium hall
- The interaction between female and male students should improve as there is still a taboo going around in the campus that girls and boys should be separated, as there are separate seating arrangements also.
- Extra curriculum activities and annual fest are not organised every year as it should be .
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally have chosen mechanical engineering as I always had the curiosity to learn about how things work and it's mechanism . The course curriculum is quite good to quench my thirst for knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
There is great opportunities of internship for every branch , students from core branch opt internship under NTPC kahalgaon, railway factory jamalpur and students from cse and ece opt internship from Cisco , and other prestigious companies with stipend
Placement Experience
Campus placement scenario is good in the college but scope of getting it better is still there as very limited companies visit the college for placements. Almost every student's from CSE & ECE get placed and other students opt for GATE examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
During the time of admission the subtotal fee that is paid by each student is around ?3000, but for SC/ST students there is a fee waiver of around ?200 . Tuition fees are very marginal as ?120 for everyone fixed by the government , other fee includes maintenance fee, lab fee, library fee and miscellaneous fee which sum total to around ?3000. The same amount is taken every year as yearly fee other than this college take per semester examination fee of ?3700 for general, and obc category students and ?700 for SC/ST/ WOMAN . ?2000 is taken by the university as registration fee which is one time payment taken usually during first semester examination. Apart from these expenses, ?1400 is taken as hostel maintenance fee and ?25000 is taken as mess fee for 200 working days .
Campus Life
Campus Life is quite limited in the college as there are only a handful of active clubs and rest are either shut down or inactive. Interaction with every students is possible only through students own made groups .
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are great , it's so affordable and clean. In terms of cleanliness and hygiene it's upto the mark. Every hostel is situated on the bank of river ganga with a majestic view of the river and great ventilation.
Admission
I chose this college because it's old and it's so near to IIIT BHAGALPUR this makes the college one of its kind in the list of 38 state engineering college of Bihar . It's pretty good and upto the mark. The admission process is quite simple , the university consider jee mains score to get admission in the college through an online councelling process.
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio is quite good , it's better than other private colleges. Every year there are 2 mid sem exam and 2 sem exam in total , exams are pretty easy and based on what have been taught in classroom and the pyq of the university
