- College provides facilities like mock interviews which are very helpful for placements.
- College's teaching faculties is nice. They are well educated and knows how to teach
- College is lenient and transparent and allows students to explore other fields.
Dislikes
- College has a very poor infrastructure. There is no ground in the college
- There is no as such campus life as it's a small college.
- The quality of social interaction is not good as there is a language barrier and Bengali dominated.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is Computer science and engineering and the specific aspect that influenced my decision to choose this course is as it's very much in trend and I versatile I can further growth my interest in any fields like Cybersecurity AIML etc. but the university syllabus is outdated and not upto the real world problems. There is a need of updation of the syllabus it should be according to the technology
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students get eligible for placements. The companies visited like TCS , CTS ,Wipro , HCL , Accenture etc. 300 offers were made this year. This year the highest package was 15 LPA and average package was 4.5 LPA. This year 70 percent students got placed. My plan after degree is to apply for job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees for my College(Btech-CSE) is 1.56 lakhs . The fees is increasing every year , in 2022 it was 1.31 lakhs/year and in 2024 it is 1.71 lakhs/year. The fees of Tfw candidates are 70k for whole btech. There are scholarship for ex Swami Vivekanand scholarship which provides 60000 every year.
Campus Life
There are mainly 2-3 good fests . First is Paridhi(Technical fest)in March . Then annual cultural fest by YUVA. and fresher's fest by YUVA. There is a central library where we will get almost every book related to studies. There is not much of scope for sports as there is absence of the basic thing a ground. There are students run groups like RCMSIT , NAVODAYA , YUVA , MEGATRONIX , HACKERSPACE.
Admission
Honestly speaking It was my destiny. I asked seniors of this college and they recommended this and I didn't research much of my own and got into this college . The college I was getting computer science in were like Narula Institute of Technology. Netaji Subhash Engineering College etc. These college is better from my college. They have better placements and campus.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is not good , it's 90:1 but the faculty is nice they are approachable and helpful. I like the faculty of computer science and engineering as the HOD is very lenient. They provide extra support and solve our doubts . They encourage us to participate in competitions. There is no such faculty that I don't like. There are 4 CA exams per semester which is easy and doable. The course curriculum is affiliated to MAKAUT and it's very outdated.
