INSIGHTS OF GRAPHIC ERA

I chose Computer science becaues i have interest in this field but from here becaues of the placement ratio and their seriousness for the course. Honestly , faculty is supportive and help you with projects but i would still say there is a vast difference in how IITs teach and private college teaches , like in IIT's , classes are less, students are motivated for real world applications but in private colleges it is not true , you have to do a lot of theory frequency of exams depend upon syllabus , if syllabus is wast , mid sem can be after 1.5 months otherwise end term exams are usually 1 month after midsem examinations , usually practicals are conducted first after that theory exams are conducted over all teaching and other experiences are good but need of improvement is for course subjects and attendance

To be really honest , after recession things are not easy as they were befire there is al lot of competition , times are gone when companies were happy with you solving basic conceptual questions now they want a skilled coder who doesn;t face any difficulty learning anything , basically companies need a robot , in such conditions to students of Graphic era are getting placed in good companies like JP Morgan , Goldman Sachs , Amazon etc.

1st year: tuition fee : 215000 , caution fee : 10000 , regestration fee : 5000 , admission fee : 25000 , development fee : 10000 lab fees: 5000. there are some additional charges as well like examination fee : 3000 , library fee : 2000 , hostel fee : 120000 - 200000

Annual and Technical fests that are held by Graphic Era are Grafests and student grafests apart from this there is a technical fest held by Graphic Era i.e Graphathon apart from these there are many other events held by clubs of graphic era like GRAPHIC GEEKS etc . apart from this libraries of Graphic Era are good , books are available but there are only a few type or i would say authors that are available at libraries , you have to issue books every semester and return old books maximum of 5-6 boooks can be issued by students in one semester.

Hostels are good , but there are some restrictions specially for girls , food is not that good , quality is okayish . lundry is availabe for hostel students , all the festivals are celebrated for hostel students at graphic era deemed to be university for hostels students have two choices , incampus and one of hill university , hostel that is out of the campus is comparatively good has good infrastructure and is comparatively better than other hostels but its price is high . locality is good , you easily get a room or pg around college and it is too 5000-6000 per month. overall hostels are good and food is also ok for students comming from other cities or even states .

I did apply to other colleges as well , i got selected too but my parents didn't like their hostels , some colleges were very far from my home , i choose graphic era because it was not too far from my house , also i found their placement criteria and ratio much beter than other colleges . I got a pretty good jee rank but didn't make it to IIT and very less NIT's are good so i opt for a private college To get admission in Graphic Era , you need a percentage of 80 and above , they also accept JEE mains rank and if you match their criteria of percentage or jee rank you get scholarship.

Faculties are good , they are always ready to help you , you can easily meet them or talk to them over texts . there are around 3-4 faculty members who are very supportive for their students and provide them with every help they can. apart from this they are also very friendly and help you if u get stuck in any problem. there are some faculties i didn't get along as well , it was becaues of their language and teaching style. for deemed and hill , level of exams may vary , we have to give 6 written exams and 3-4 practicals for both mid sem and end sem , mid sem is of 50 marks whereas endsem is of 100 marks
