Reflection on Campus life : A College Review

Cousre curriculum is build like you will start learning python , web development from the first semester which will help in getting internship in the first year. They will help you build your skills like no other colleges does. The curriculum in NST is industry-ready and focuses on creating products rather than just using tools . The curriculum is cutting-edge and they offer hands on learning and mentorship fro industry proffessionals.

As the college is new and have only 2 batches, we dont know too much about placement and internship here . but the first batch of this college have really done very good in the first year . One of the senior have cracked Google Summer of Code(GSOC) . The skills they are providing from the first year is sufficient to get internship in first year by yourself .

The total fee for the entire course is around 23 lakhs . and yearly it is divided in 8 semesters for the first 2 semester(first year) the total fee is 627500. which includes seat block fee(for frist semester only), administrative and technology fee, hostel and mess fee(180000),tuition fee and caution deposit. from second year you dont have to pay administrative and technology fee hence the total fee from the second year will be 552500. The hostel and mess fee is included because the course is purely residential you cant stay in pg or anything . The scholarship given here are totally merit based. but if you have any achievement like played nationals , etc.. then you will be given 10% scholarship from the entire course fee.

College fest happens twice every year . FIrst one is DAMRU which is the cultural fest and second one is NEUTRON which is technological fest. Apart from them, some events also happens in festivals etc. The clubs are mostly student runned and their names include dancing club , robotics club, Complex coding club, e-cell club etc. These clubs help you build your skills in other aspects also rather than for your course. Library has varieties of books available also you can request for the book if that is not available .

As the course is purely residential you cannot rent room or pg. But the hostel here are very good and well-maintained . All the rooms have AC , study table , chair, almirah , 2 beds . The mattress quality is also very good. Mess food is better then many of the other colleges . You will get varietiees of food everyday . Breakfast is best if you compare from Lunch,Snacks and Dinner.

My first priority was to get in NIt or IIT but unfortunately i didn't performed well in JEE that made me to think about private colleges . I researched about many collges including NST and found that the course strcuture,curriculum and college life can be much better in NST as you dont have to complete assignment in pen-paper (your assignments will come in your provided macbook). Their course structure is made industry-ready . In other colleges you have to study physics , chemistry and also have to do cutting and finishing tools , marking, measuring etc etc . which is not at all required for computer science engineering But at NST you will only have to study which is required for a software engineer.

Faculty to student ratio is good here. We have 120 learners in every class and and there is 2 teacher for whole class also rather then them lab classes also happens on alternative days where you can clear your doubts there also have 2 teachers but in lab 120 also get divided in 2 parts means 2 teachers for 60 learners in lab and 2 teachers for 120 learners in lecture. The best thing of this college is we dont have to study physics,chemistry we only study the things which is required for computer science . You will start coding from the first semester. Contest happens once every week which helps you to know your weakness and mistakes . Course curriculumn is very good , you will be able to build your skills from the first day.
