Course Curriculum Overview

3

This course that I'm pursuing right now doesn't really provide you any kind of recognition in college or any other place, but the reason why I chose this course is that, that there's a lot of free time to explore and pursue other courses like foreign language or you can prepare for exams like CAT,GMAT etc. The curriculum doesn't really provide you the opportunity to face the outside world as it's a very language history centric it's more of poetic stuff and poets and it's history. Get you where you want if you won't be pursuing courses other than this solely, it's good you wanna be a writer in any launguage as it's very authouristic program as there's alot knowledge regarding poems and poetic stuff There's nothing that I want them to improve as it's already good for those who want to learn more about Punjabi language and it's history as well as poetic stuff Exams are really easy if you study you can clear them by studying for a single night only, they often take place during December and may or June

Fees and Financial Aid

College total fees for a 3 year program is not more than 80k even if it's science or commerce my course(B.A PUNJABI HONS) annual fee is 20k-21k and examination fee is required to be paid separately when the examination forms comes out as it's the University's criteria. There are Grants that you get from college if you're not from a very stable family they provides you grants by reducing your fees by an amount that can help you very much if you fall in this category.

Campus Life

5

Lashkara is our Annual fest and it takes place in Feb or March last year it took place on the 15th of March I don't really know if there's any kind of technical fest which takes place in our college till now as it didn't take place till now There's a very wide range of books and journals available in library for students and students can access them by just submitting their student college ID IN the library. Almost every book on every subject from science to history, novels of a very wide genre Is available too There are Ac's to beat the heat in our classroom which are always on till there are classes taking place also there are projectors in every classroom too. Our college is very famous in terms of sports as there's a wide range of sports available for an athlete except swimming there's almost every sport game and if you're really good at any sport there are trials for that too which takes place in September or October.

Admission

Eligibility: you must score 45-50% or more to be eligible for the course (if you have studied punjabi in your 11th-12th it'll be an advantage for you) You have to appear in CUET ENTRANCE EXAM in which you should score atleast 500-600 marks for the confirm admission in college. Reservation: If you are from Sikh minority you will get the advantage of seat reservation of 50% of the entire total no. Faculty

4

Faculty is good and supportive for students as they help them throughout their services by helping them and resolving their problems Teaching faculty is what I love the most as they are kind supportive and humble to help you whenever you want I didn't dislike any faculty specifically as they have their own importance Exams are piece of cake it takes place 2 times every year Total 6 if you're pursuing Bachelor's Exams are so easy to clear that one night before the exams study can get you more than 50 marks easily You need to score 33 marks or more to pass the exam including both internals and theory combined to get pass in exam

Other Applied Colleges

St Stephen's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English)

There was a very high cutoff during our admission session in Stephen's College due to which I couldn't get what I always wanted

St Stephen's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English)

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
