Likes
- Diversity of courses. I like how there are various courses from all fields such as commerce, humanities. Sciences and mathematics as well.
- Faculty, faculty members are well educated and qualified. Teaching ad well as non teaching staff is great.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure can be better, the area of the college is a little smaller than other colleges of north campus . Facilities can be better
- Lack of common space, not much area for hanging out with friends .
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is pretty relevant as there are 3 core subjects and 4 other subjects as language, EVS, skill course, value addition course, General elective course for continuing your minor degree. Teaching method is different for all teachers some use ppts, some uses examples, some are descriptive . Tests happens on a regular interval , internals happens in mid semesters and presentations are also a part of internals.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees depend on courses basically, so different courses have different fee structure. For B.A hons Geography, we have to pay around 15000 yearly . While applying for admission, there is an amount of 2000-3000 paid as admission fee and all other fees are included in course fee. There are various scholarship provided for students as PMSSS,state scholarships, principal's scholarship and more for which a student can apply. These scholarships are based on merit thus one has to have a good academic record and cocurricular records as well.
Campus Life
Campus life is great and fun. Fests happen every year, one can attend own college's fest as well as of others. Over all campus life and experience is great, its is pretty happening book fairs and literature fests keep on going all year around.
Admission
There are very few colleges providing course of B.A hons geography in north campus and Kiori mal college is one of the best colleges of Delhi university. My first preference was Miranda house but i couldn't get in that due to my CUET score. The admission process is giving CUET exam and cut off for cuet score in DU is very high. Some colleges even have 799/800 cutoffs with also keeping your 12th marks in mind. Admission process is pretty easy you have to give cuet and then apply for the admission and then wait for the merit lists to come out which will automatically show on your portals . So it is not much of a chaos.
Faculty
Faculty of our college is well qulaified and educated, all of them are very helpful when it comes to profession and personal deal as well. Each course has enough faculty member and all are easy to approach. Some faculty members that i like is statustics , economics and geography. Some members are there who are rude and non welcoming but that's okay . Exams take place in two forms internals and externals both are easy to pass you just have to have basic knowledge about your paper. Ratio of failing students is very less because exams are very easy to pass. Course curriculum is pretty relevant as it includes 3 core subjects and other subjects as language, EVS, value addition course and skill enhancement course
