The college life in NIT SILCHAR

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10 in terms of real world applications. Since our curriculum is old ,the new technologies have not been taught . The areas of improvement in curriculum are introduce new technologies, remove the irrelevant courses for the department from the curriculum. The exams are conducting less frequently. It makes students lazy towards studies. I will suggest to please conduct quizzes .

The internship opportunities are good in our college . The companies visiting our college are optum , UBS ,Myntra , trilogy, sap labs, Deutsch bank, Citi Bank , Accenture for software role and for core mechanical,civil , electrical companies like hpcl ,bpcl ,hul ,Jindal steels will visit . The projects will be done by the students under the guidance of professors.

The placements in our college are very good. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . The unplaced students can go further studies like MS ,MTECH . The companies visited our college are atlassian ,Amazon,AWS ,optum, Myntra ,UBS ,Amadeus ,oracle ,sap labs ,mathworks ,Hpcl ,Bpcl,HUL, Goldman Sachs and many startups . The highest package offered by AWS 52 LPA.The average package is 10,00,000 to 12,00,000 for cse and it varies for different branches

The year wise totally I had paid is 65,200. I belongs to a category of annual income less than 1 lakh . So,the tution fee per semester is ?10,100 and ?22,500 as hostel fees. My friend belongs to a category of annual income more than 5 lakhs she usually pays ?72,000 as semester fees and ?22,500 as hostel fees . There will be a other category sc / st they usually pay 65,200 year-wise irrespective of their income .The scholarships that are available for students are FFE and NSP . FFE is to applied during first semester.FFE is eligible for students stastifying the financial criteria.The scholarship amount will be 40000 per year and given for fours of our graduation . The total amount will be ?1,60,000.Students who belong to SC, ST, OBC/Minority/PWD are all eligible to apply for the NSP . Students will get Rs 10000 to Rs 20000 from this NSP scholarship . This will undergo online selection process where students have to submit their documents and have to give the interview. There will be other scholarships like medhavi scholarship in buddy4study portal . We usually check them by our eligibility and we apply them . The main thing is the government aids only one scholarship for a student during their graduation. The fee structure have been changing every year. There will be an other feel called BHM FEE we pay ?1000 per year. The good thing is excess amount of our hostel fees after completion of a semester is refunded to our bank accounts . There will be transportation fee,medical fee , library fee they all are included in tuition fee . The registration fees is usually paid during the jossaa counselling during our first semester. It will be 40000 for seat allocation ion and 35000 for admission in the college . The amount paid during the registration is refunded based on our category. The amount may vary it depends on our category . This amount will be refunded during our second year

The campus life will be good. You gonna experience the meaning of the life in the college.we will meet different types of people. We'll learn different things from them .There are many clubs, organizations to socialize the students . The management conducts fests to make students stress free . The annual fests include technosis ,the biggest tech fest is North East India , incandescence it is a non technical fest. There are different sports clubs and competitiond national wide between the NITS ,IITS

The hostel facility is good. The meal quality is average. We can't expect a good meal . The menu displayed will be different from what they have cooked. The registration process for hostel is submission of the hostel fees receipts . There will be 3 girls hostel and 9 boys hostels for undergraduate students .

I choose this collection since the placements of nit Silchar are very good . The colleges I preferred before nit Silchar are Trichy, surathkal, warangal, Calicut, rourkela, MNIT, vnit. The closing rank of above colleges are less than the rank I got . So I got rejected in them . The admission in our college through jee mains.

The odd semester is from August to December and the even semester is from January to may . The faculty to student ratio will be 1: 10. There will assistant professors under professors to solve our doubts in tutorial session.There will be mid semester, minor exams and end semester for each subject.The difficulty level is moderate to hard . The fail ratio depends on the course .

The night life will be secured and good in our college . Our college is filled with beautiful lakes and infrastructure. There will be placed for refreshments like sports complex, sac building,tennis court , football ground , cricket ground . There will be gym for fitness and healthy life . It will be open morning and evening. There will be cafeterias ,food stalls.The hostel intime for first year students is 7 pm and for remaining varches is 9 pm .The library of our college is one of the biggest library in the asian continent.The locality outside the college is not safe to roam around the night .
