IT Gopeshwar: a honest review

The curriculum is good and follows all requirements set by AICTE. It familiarise students with the practical part of branch and theoretical also to make them a good engineer. But in implementation it makes some difficulties because of lab structure the labs doesn't have proper attendent to handle it.

As the college has limited placement record we don't rely on the paid internship but college provide us some free internship by which we can upgrade our skills plus they have a subject internship so we have to make report of everything we studied during internship and how much we upgraded.

I pay approx 62k in my first year which includes admission and enrollment fees and security also after that rest of year i pay 56k which is tuition fee 25k per semester and 2500 exam fee and 600 online information portal fee like that. Our college has a scheme for low income family student they pay only exam fee 2500 because they came under tuition fee waiver catagory and also they can apply for scholarship through national scholarship portal to get scholarship but only for SC/ST catagory.

The college has decent social lifes with programs fest and clubs to get socialize. Each year we have annual fest and techfest and a sports event to take part and apart of this we can conduct any workshop and can take part in any of the workshops.

I had applied for many colleges through state counseling but due to rank i didn't get them. The college which i applied are gbpec, bktkit etc in uttarakhand because they have bog campus with more interaction but when i got this college through state counseling i am satisfied due to low fees and good scenic campus and also by good faculties. College took students by state counseling and you can get that even low rank also.

The number of faculties is decent but in one or two branch it is less like in computer science the faculty to students ratio is low. All faculties are qualified to a level and has descent knowledge of subjects but the lab technician shortage leads problem in labs. In terms of exams the institute take two internal exam in each semester followed by an external exam which is conducted by university. The exam level is moderate and approx 80% got passed in it except in first year where average pass percentage is 50% approx.

we have gym in campus while the hostel is under construction we have a good cafeteria with having good quality of food in that and a central library having adequate amount of books of the course. As we don't have hostel we live in pg rooms nearby and there is no timing in that and it is safe to roam there at night as the area is near itbp camp.
