Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would rate it a 10/10 cuz pol science department is itself a 10/10 because I wanted to take it since I took arts in class 11 and the journey was too good i thought to take this faculty which is going on right cuz we get to know about the world the thought processes and how the world is governed and everything like that which is really really good ... And I would prefer any arts student to go for it

Placement Experience

3

Placement opportunities are made different institutions come to college for taking employments and else I don't know much about placement opportunities but yeah I seee mostly every week one or another company comes to hire some students from the college

Fees and Financial Aid

Detailed fee structure isn't yet given but in the csas portal it was showing that I have to pay 14,895 for a year and that's quite decent .. The total fee of this course can reach upto 60 k if we also do the fourth year which is optional .. the fees is gradually increasing from the past few years which has been a problem and and a concern for the students who aren't from good family background and are economically weak .. The scholarship program isn't there it's just for some of the people out there like for Jammu and Kashmir ones through some governmental scheme Reservations are given for sc st OBC and Kashmiri migrants ,sports quota and ews The course fees also varies according to the reservation...

Campus Life

5

My overall experience was tooo good as I found a really diverse crowd the infrastructure here is okayish but yeah the greenery the vibes are tooo good the library here is the biggest library in the DU with 1,50,000 books .. The ground here isn'tt that big but we can practice volleyball cricket football and basketball as all these facilities are provided.. The educational institution and teachers are really good for the political science department which Is a good thing as I am from the pol science department... Have made a lot of friends here and many other mates... Ragging isn't a thing in DU .. teachers keep checking upon people in the campus and security is really very tight

Admission

I would really say that this was the best college i could've got because at the starting i thought I would be ok in Lucknow University but the faculty and the infra there from inside isn't much good plus the crowd isn't much competitive... Feels like anyone can get admission there which isn't good for ur competitve spirit.. i thought about LU the whole time but when I went in it it felt like just a mistake... Cuz of this thing I didn't study for Cuet much and at my score i only got this college

Faculty

5

There are 13 teachers for the political science department for nearly 150 students approx which is quite ok but isn't enough.. the faculty is really very helpful and is well wersed in everything. Pawan Sinha guruji a well known youtuber is also there in this college which is a matter of pride and he is also the HOD Exams and assignments are taken seriously and everything is monitored nicely .. adding to that the faculty focuses more ok the fundamentals of learning rather than the upper "rattafication" The exams of 1st year are being held in January soo I don't have much experience about that once I do that I will have some experience.. but it's late because of the late admission and delay in start of courses

Night Life

2

Nightlife isn't much lit no hostels no nothing soo the college is mostly closed .. else nearby in Satya niketan it's crazy out there .. there are some must checkout cafes and gaming zones which absolutely add up to a good experience

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
