Course Curriculum Overview

4

One can join Archeological Survey of India easily for pursuing masters in history after completing bachelors in history. Other than that it is difficult to get any other work after completing bachelors in history . Our course need improvement in research works . In Delhi University we do not get any research work in duration of pursuing history honours, so I think that we must have some research work and visting sites regarding our paper , so that we can understand the history more effectively and can also understand the importance of all the sites of history . If we cannot go so far we must visit sites near us atleast.

It is not too difficult to get admission in this college. For getting admission in pgdav college one must get atleast 40% marks in 12th and qualify CUET . In case of cuet exams the cutoff for admission changes every year. As pgdav college come under du so one must get very good marks in cuet for enrollment in college.

Campus Life

4

Well overall we have great environment in our college campus . We can meet different peoples and can intract with them easily . If I talk about annual fest season we have specific time period / months which is from February to March , during this time period we get our annual fests and every department and society of our college organise there fests also in same time period . Other than that we can listen to many speakers and organise seminars at any time of the whole year .

Admission

I applied for Hansraj College, Sri Venkateshwar College and many other colleges of Delhi University but I get this college. In other University and colleges stundent choose them but this never works in Delhi University, here college picks not you who choose it . Admission process is same as in every Delhi University's colleges.

Faculty

4

Faculties are to kind and helpful towards students. Student can easily reach to any of the faculty member . Students can contact to faculty any time. Department faculty is nice but I don’t like the principal that much . There are main two semester exams in a year . Other than that there are many Internal assessments and class assessments as tests . Main exam paper is almost same to whole Delhi University. The level of paper is difficult but not that much . To pass the exam one must get 30% in the exam which one can easily secure. But even after that there are few students who fail in the main exams .

Night Life

3

Well , our college also have evening batches , so till 9 p.m. the area is super safe for anyone because of the college timings but after that it is not that much safe for alone person . But , as if you are in group , you can freely roam around the college . After 9 at night everything in college closes either it is canteen , library or anything .

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
