Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is philosophy Hons. At first I didn't wanted it as I didn't have any knowledge regarding this course but now that I've been studying it for months, it has become pretty interesting and now I don't regret at all. It is a course which my soul really craved for. As I love deep meaning of this materialistic world and love to find logic in every thing I see around. I haven't given my exams yet but as much as I've known from seniors, the exams are not that tough and can be easily done if prepared properly.

Internships Opportunities

3

I haven't received any internship opportunity yet. But my college does provide internship opportunities. And I look forward to grab any such opportunity as soon as possible. Various paid and unpaid internship opportunities are provided in my college as said by my seniors.

Placement Experience

3

Placement in my course is very rare in any college because it is not a professional course but a knowledge based course. And the employable fields of my course is civil services exams, professor, writer etc. In other course a lot of companies visit for placements. My plans after getting this degree is to prepare for UPSC CSE

Fees and Financial Aid

My college's annual fee structure for philosophy Hons is 14150. And there are no scholarship opportunities in my college. Other than annual fee, we have to pay semester exam fee that is 1500 approx. The fee structure of our college doesn't vary based on catagory, it's same for each catagory student. I haven't got any information regarding scholarships provided in my college. Most probably we don't get scholarship chances in my college.

Campus Life

4

There are various fests held in our college like Diwali Mela, winter carnival, annual fest etc. Our library is a huge one it is spread in 3 floors. And it has a collection of numerous books from comics to literature to everything in between. The sports facilities are average and not as good. They only get serious for sports when there is Inter College Competition. Overall the campus experience is pretty good

Hostel Facilities

5

My college doesn't provide hostel facility. I live in a PG which is 1 km from my college. The meals are very good and tasty. The pg is affordable if we compare it to the surrounding areas. My pg is in green park area

Admission

So, I had applied for various colleges during my cuet form submission. But my main focus was to get Lady Shri Ram College. But unfortunately, my numbers were a little less to get into the college. My second option was Allahabad University. It is also a great University but the environment there didn't seem very good to me. I was offered 3 seats there in different courses but I chose DU over AU because of the exposure it proves. The admission process of my college was very easy and hassle free. All I had to do is fill the CSAS form of Delhi University and select preferences based on my liking. And we get allocated the college which we keep above in the preference sheet keeping our marks and catagory in consideration.

Faculty

5

The relationships between students and faculty is pretty good we have a friendship like bond with our professors. The faculty is very polite and approachable. The professor of India Philosophy (of my department) is very polite and of very kind nature. I love the way she repeats everything she teaches so that all the students can understand. And she also tries to solve our problems and doubts regarding our course. There isn't anyone whom I don't like, but our logic professor becomes a little bit aggressive when we ask the same don't thrice. She also goes very fast with our syllabus.

Night Life

4

There is nothing like night life in college. Our gym is pretty nice and has every equipment required. Our cafeteria is the best. The college timing is from 9:00 to 4:30 There are various hangout places near my college

Other Applied Colleges

Lady Shri Ram College for Women - [LSR] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (History)

I couldn't get this college and course during counseling.

Allahabad University | BA History

It didn't have that much exposure as Delhi University

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
