Remarks

As early as the preschool years, teacher-student interactions set the trajectory for students’ academic careers (Mashburn et al., 2008; Palermo, Hanish, Martin, Fabes, & Reiser, 2007). An important aspect of these interactions is the feedback provided, or the positive and negative ways teachers respond to students’ behaviors. Research generally operationalizes teachers’ positive feedback as praise, or the act of expressing approval or admiration (Blote, 1995; Cannella, 1986), and negative feedback as verbal reprimands, negative statements about students’ abilities and/or effort, and negative nonverbal behaviors (Dobbs & Arnold, 2009; Irvine, 1986; Mazer, Mckenna-Buchanan, Quinlan, & Titsworth, 2014; Wentzel, 2002).

College Events

1.5

College fests are a memorable part of our lives where extravagant decorations, sizzling celebrities/ stars and most importantly many, fun-driven events add to the flavor. Most colleges stick to a similar list of events thereby making the fest quite monotonous and stereotypical. While some colleges make an attempt to introduce something new or modify an existing event, it may or may not turn out to be successful. A successful college event means a significant number of participants, a majority of good reviews, an excellent venue, a great judge/ moderator, etc., mostly with or maybe without handsome cash awards for the winner.

If you’ve ever applied to a job you’ve probably heard of the phrase “extracurricular activities” as something you should include on your resume. The question is, what do extracurricular activities mean and why are they important? Here’s a little secret: extracurricular activities are simply any activity you do outside of your school work. Easy enough, right? Well okay, that’s great, but why are extracurricular activities important? Isn’t getting great grades in school good enough? And if you do participate in other activities, why does it matter? Doesn’t everyone do at least one activity that has nothing to do with school? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place.

Alumni have the potential to an education institution’s most valuable asset. There is significant opportunity for universities, tafes and colleges to leverage alumni to drive student engagement on a global scale. This not only adds value to the student experience and ultimately the institution, it also enhances the strength and engagement of the alumni network creating more satisfied international and local alumni over the student – alumni lifecycle.

It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
