Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculam of my branch (civil engineering) is designed in a approprite way, keeping in mind the present demand of the society. Odd sem will be of approximately 5months and even sem of 4. Before mid terms there will be a gap of almost 1month.
Internships Opportunities
There are so many government & public companies that offer internship (paid & non paid). Some PSUs also provide internship. Many dream companies of both core & IT sector provides paid internship to students.
Placement Experience
Placement facility of NIT Agartala is good. There is proper independent cell (CCD) to take care of the placement related everything. From the very first the college makes us ready for placements. Almost more than 90 percent students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual fee for general category (annual family income more than 5lakhs) is around 72-75000/- ,also it is 26-30000/- for family income below 5lakhs & for SC students it is around 6500/-. There are many scholarship facilities like Ishanuday for NER students, Umbrealla for other ST students, & all other UGC, state & central scholarships (refer NSP website for more). Also students can apply for any private scholarship.
Campus Life
There is gordious annual festival of our college named Moksha. Also there is technical festival, occuring every year. Apart from that there are many more events & fests like the Dandiya night. Also there are many technical, clutural & social clubs to explore about the interest of a student.
Admission
I have chosen this college as it is an institute of National importance and the best engineering college of my state, also its second best NIT of North-Eastern region after NIT Silchar. To take admission here a student must have to clear prestigious JEE Mains entrance exam.
Faculty
Almost every faculty member of my brach are well experienced and behaves well with their students. The marking scheme is also very simple: 30- internal; 20 in mid term & rest 50 in end term. Just one thing about exams is that there is no gap provided between exams so students will not get proper time to prepare well before exams.
Night Life
The night life of NIT Agartala is very good There are gym in the hostels & for other sport facilities separate comples for sports is also there. Generally girls are free to move outside the hostel till 7-7:30pm. There are so many shops & cafeterias inside & outside the college.
