Likes
- Firstly I liked the laboratories for performing computer practicals and also the equipments based on it.Also the infrastructure for each departments based on floors.So we are prepared yo come more efficiently as well as effectively in the college
- Secondly, I like the events that are conducted by the college. Especially the winters go with more and more joy.Various celebrities are invited annually when the Tarangan our college fest arrives.Also many activities are performed based on festivals
- Then it comes to the Collegues. We get more friendly environment in college .They push us to be better in studies so as we.Also we enjoy the lectures throughout the semesters.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the way of teaching by the faculties.They just focus on basic knowledge of the topics rather than going deep into it. Also some of the faculties are provided with the subject forcefully.
- Also the management of the college. The watchmen never allows to enter without an Id card and on some specific timings , they blindly let us enter the college, risking the security of the college.
- Then it comes to canteen, there are limited dishes and that too veg.There is not variety in food.Provides only veg food ,also the chairs are in bad conditions.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curricular aspects which inspired me to choose computer science are the excitement of coding.Also i was quite good in calculations and mathematics as well as physics.So there are many carrer options like software engineer, data analyst, data scientist, web developer, AI/ML developer, Indie Developer, Cybersecurity expert. So being addicted to coding ,the consistency in it prepares me for real world applications and internships . Areas for improvements in course would be continously practices, making effective projects interactions with experienced people. Yes we get limited time to perform examination. As iit is more lengthy as well as difficult.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete fees for the course bsc in computer science is around 1,80,000 rupees. Where the yearly fees is around 55000.It also provides internships for students based on various compute science topics,along with several seminars,and events Besides that our college fest named Tarangan and Trishna.It provides us various curriculum activities. The fees structure describes in course is like the lab fees ranges from 500-1000 rs,the admission fees ranges from 25000 to 30000 for each semester. The tution fees comes under 3 to 4 thousands. It also provides merits on the blood donation campaigns.
Campus Life
Tarangan and trishna are the popular fests in Thakur college.its like an annual fest .Also there are various competitions conducted in college Also there is gymkhana where sports activities like boxing, karate, carrom,cricket and football. Also NCC and NSS are social helping platforms that conducts various practice's and helping platforms
Admission
I applied for various colleges like bhavans college, annasaheb vartak college ,Viva college, aatharv college and Thakur college. From which i liked Thakur college when i went for enquiries. Also i went to many colleges ,but due to infrastructure i didn't like to be there.
Faculty
Yes, if we talk the relationship between students and colleagues, i would say its very very friendly. They clear the doubts, also support on projects. Help us to visualize various topics based on projects. The faculties i liked are Mahesh sir and Ashish sir from our department. They motivate us to be consistent and be disciplined in our carriers. The Exam structure of our college includes furstly the CE1 exam which is of 20 marks. Then the CE2 which comes in internal eaxm where various topics are given and then are being presented by students solely or in groups. Then comes the final exam or the semester exam with 60 marks. And then combining all the marks the cgpa and the percentage are being calculated.
Night Life
As i mentioned gymkhana is place where sports in college is performed. Library is also a silent places during morning and best pmace to study. Campus timings start from 7 in morning and close around 5 in evening. Dreampark , mahindra company road are places outside college to roam.
