MY COLLEGE - NIT KURUKSHETRA

The college is better than average and it depends upon students how they utilize this time of their being in college . They can use it to get successful as a lot of students have been in the past and the recent times or they may waste it too depending upon their choice completely. Being an NIT , our college provides good environment for working hard and to succeed in life

An annual year consists of two semesters of six months each . Each semester comprises of two mid semester exams and an end semester exam . Ten Mark's are for the attendance and then for class assessment. Each semester usually has 6-7 subjects

The placement record of the college is good with almost every student who doesn't have a backlog being placed in a decent company / firm. Yes the college has taken the initiative of providing internship from our batch onwards and has been working on it for the betterment of the college as well as the students

There are a lot of fests that are organized in our college . The CONFLUENCE being the biggest fest with many colleges of north India participating in it . There are many other fests such as TECHSPARDH, UTKARSH etc. A lot of cultural and technical events are held in these fests and they have cash prizes as the reward for those who conquer

The fee structure is around 80000 per semester. But don't worry , if you are under the category of people with income less than 5 lakhs , you just have to pay around 30 thousand per semester for general and OBC students while there is no tuition fee for the SC and ST students

The college does provide loan for the students who cannot afford the fee . Also all the NITs of the country have different fee structure for the people of different economic background. For example a person with income more than 5 Lakhs per annum pays full fee , two third fee is given by people falling in 2 -5 lakhs per annum, while for people having income less than that there is no tuition fee

The sports complex is good with almost all the facilities present there . There is an Olympic sized swimming pool that too free for the students of the NIT . The labs are getting improved day by day with new equipments getting installed in the laboratories .

Seniors are helpful for they help the juniors to get acknowledged by the placement scenarios and also how to work through in your college life . There are groups of the alumni network and we can easily get into their contact through these WhatsApp and Facebook groups

I got admission on the basis on my JEE MAINS rank . The admission is granted on the basis of the JEE MAINS exam conducted by CBSE . The students fill their choice of the branch and the college and the preference is given as per their rank in the entrance exam
