Take a glimpse of NIT Patna

The oldest and main branch from nit Patna is CIVIL engineering, the number of labs they provide, the material they suggest, the opportunities for internship and placement make the course attractive and more useful for students for their career growth. Real worlds applications of the course are very similar they make you to understand in their laboratories. Exams take place 4 times a year two minors and two majors, in both you have to pass, and the final result shows only the major exam results which also include the marks you gained in your minors.

Parth, offered internships for developers for 45 LPA. Ultratech offered internships + FTE at 7.5 LPA ZS offered internships + FTE at 10.94 LpA And many more. I did get an internship at UP Jal Nigam board through the campus only for which I was the part of Gokul barrage reconstruction work.

From 6th semester onwards, the students become eligible for placements and a placement cell committee is appointed by the director for regular administration. More than 450 placements were offered and more than 100 companies visited NIT Patna last year. Highest package from the college went upto 2.1 crore per annum and an average lies between 8-12 LPA. More than 85% students got the placement from the campus only. I opted for the further studies and being prepared currently for my exams.

We had to pay 6000 yearly for the tuition fees and about 20000 as our hostel and mess fees per year. If you have any backlog in any subject then per subject per exam fees also has to be paid. Registration fees and all other fees than tuition fees are refundable. State governments does provide the scholarships to the students from our college. Scholarship of about 20,000 you will be getting per year.

Freshers party, eccentrica, iwwa, intramurals and others are the fests students can enjoy throughout the year. Every book related to the curriculum is available with the library having a very big study space for the students . All the classrooms are camera enabled, having AC and very much comfortable sittings. Sport committee conducts the competition for the sports like badminton, Table tennis, cricket, kabaddi among others. A social group "enlightened India" is also being run by students which helps the poor by providing them food and education for free. Sankalp is also a group that provide education to students of till 12th class for free by the students of nit Patna.

They provide you the bed, almirah and other basic amenities. Meals cooked in the mess were good and hygienic, they used to cook separately for the veg and non veg students. And if someone is ill or want to eat something else, they also can cook that. Hostels of this colleges were affordable and the process to get the admission much simpler. You just have to fill the form raise a request they will verify your information and allot you a room.

I did get so many colleges before like IIIT Gwalior, but due to my personal preference for civil and the number of opportunities they provide for this course made me to go for this course and later it helped me alot in my growth. I did not get any rejection from anywhere. You have to score atleast 75% in your boards (12th) then you have to appear for JEE examination and clear and secure a good rank then only you will be eligible to get admission. If you secure rank below 20000 there can be chance of yours to be in this college, for a lower branch. For civil your rank must vary between 8000 to 15000.

Faculties are really good, having a vast knowledge on their respective subjects and field of research. They also provide you the opportunities to apply your knowledge to the real life scenarios. Course structure designed by the faculties are very useful for your personal and career growth. Gopi sir, he has done the research from the same college only and got the chance to share the knowledge of his with the institution's students. Course curriculum is more easier than the hypothesis made for the engineering colleges. Almost every student is going to be passed and if someone fails they get the chances to clear their backlog.

We had a gym, 3-4 good, cleaned, and hygienic cafeterias in the campus, most of them were open for 24/7. You can come in or out from the hostel anytime for boys and till 12AM for girls. But for 1st both girls and boys have to arrive their hostel before 10. Nit Patna is located on the banks of ganga river and is very much safe to roam outside the campus and entry inside the campus was never prohibited.
