"NIT SILCHAR a detailed review"

As I am in 1st year so i will not be able to answer it accurately but as I experienced and talked to seniors curriculum here is good but it is pretty difficult yes it trains us for real world application In our 1st year we are studying basically basics of everything like cse, civil, mechanical and all branches The exam frequency here is quite a lot like exams comes very often and difficulty is medium to hard you have to study to even pass

Various Internship opportunities are available in college, till now i don't know enough but you can guess its a NIT and its average package for cse is 24 lpa so, internship here is pretty good. You will get a lot of opportunity here

Students are eligible for placements after 3rd year means 6th semester. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, JCB, SONY ETC companies comes here for campus placement like this year Microsoft gave 40 lpa package in nour college As of 2023 highest package was 80lpa from CSE and average salary was 14.39 lpa Total percentage of students placed was 89.41% I would like to do my own business after my college degree and make my own company

The overall fess of NIT Silchar yearly is differnt for differnt type of students based on on family income and caste. For SC/ST/PH studentss 100% tution fee waiver For general and OBC students whose family income is less then 1.lack per annum 100% fee waiver For students OBC and general whose family income is between 1. lack to 5 lack 2/3 fee remission Fee Structure: Caution Money: Rs.5000 Tution Fees(one semester): Rs.62500 One Time Fees: Rs.7500 Other Fees: Rs.5370 But for different kind of students fee waiver is also available which i had already discussed For me I paid only my mess and hostel fee it was Rs.32630 because my family income was less then 1.lack One of my friend whose family income is between 1 to 5 lacks she paid 2/3 of total tution fees Rs.53580 There are various scholarship but our college does not provide any by its own students have to apply in various scolarship by themselves. Many of my friens already got scholarship like my friend she got scholarship from Airtel

The annual fest name is INCANDESCENE which happen in February and Technical fest name is TECHNOSIS which happen in November All types of books is available in library our library is largest digital library in Asia you can issue any book in library with your library card. Smart class is available with the classroom All sports facility is provided in college and sports complex of top level There are various clubs in our college like coding,drama,music,art,politics,litrature,singing etc etc I mean the extracurriculars here is very overwhelming

LAN is provided in every hostel room, Room quality is good you will get a table,chair + your personal locker. but most of the time LAN does not work Mess food quality is decent not that much good or bad . all thypes of food is given in mess like rice, dal, chicken, poori, dosa, grams etc etc Hostel registration is done during phyical reporting in college during admission, Hostel here is quite Affordable

I choose this college beacus it is great + its is NIT you will get a NIT tag from here also I want to do Civil Engineering and this the best I can get in JOSAA AND CSAB at my rank which was around 54K in JEE 2024 I also applied in GGSIPU and I also got MAIT Cse there but i did not consider it due it its high fees and less average placement During my counselling I only applied for GGSIPU and JOSAA AND CSAB only and the best I get at my rank after rejecting MAIT For NIT Silchar: You have to qualify JEE MAINS exam with a good rank after that you have to sit in JOSAA and CSAB counselling and accordin to your rank you can get this college after you get this college in Josaa and csab you have to verify your documents online after that pay you SAF and PAF fee and you can download Partial seat admission letter from there after that you have to do physical reporting there your documents are varified and coungratualions you are sucessfully the student of NIT Silchar now!

Faculity here is very experienced and tallented almost all of our professors are IITians Faculity to student ratio is around 1:80 I like all of my professors especially NBDC sir, BHS Raju sir also our Mechanics professor beacuse they teches us with their full effort and passion But I dont like my physics professor I dont get what she teaches, how hard I try. There are total 3 exams per semester: Mid sem, Minor and End sems of 30,10 and 50 marks respectively + 10 marks are internal It is not that easy you have to study if you don't study or study just one day before exam you will fail, there are high chances

Gym is available in college, library timing are 9 to 5 weekdays and sunday library is closed, cafeterias,shops are availble in the campus + various canteen also available in hostels Only hostel timing is for 1st year that is 8'o clock and from 2nd year onwards NO timings In campus there are various lakes to hang around, also tea garden is near the campus so anyone can visit there also.
