- The college provied various types of personality development fields including different types of clubs which are made by the students of the college which boost your confidence
- The girls and boys ratio is around 1:5 and it is not very good as girls ratio is very less as compared to boys but the college provied quota benefits to girls
- It provides internship opportunities which is very helpful for the students who want to take placement in big mncs as they can attach their experiences in theri cv
Dislikes
- The classes our very outdated and old styled which many times become a big concern as the comfortablity is very hampered for us
- The mess food of the hostels is very unhygienic and needed to be a big concern because many student may get sick and have health issues eating that
- The internet connection is very very low in our college also the lan problem is a big concern as it get disconnected every time and the tower speed is very low their
Course Curriculum Overview
I have researched very much for my electronics and communication engineering course and i know that in our country after 4 years the semiconductor industry will boom on all over industries and demands of engineers persuing this course will become 100x hence job opportunities for students also increase.Electronics department of NIT Silchar is very good as compared to other nits and it not need to be improved it is already in top 3 nits ,and it is
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like google and other provides intership opportunities in our institute also many private companies provides many internship which is very helpful for our resume when we are applying for jobs but the intership are many unpaid means no stipend is given in that just it is for our experience and certificate
Placement Experience
The placement of our college is quite impressive in my field as the avg package for ece branch is 17 lakhs this year which is very good compared to other colleges and also it is a quite impressive for an nit to offer that package
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid a year-wise fees of rupees 1 lakh 78 thousand rupees including my tution fees of around 1lakh 25 thousand and my hostel+mess fees of rupees 53 thousand,mess caution fees was around 25500 rupees and lab and other fees were included in tution fees only,their is no tution fees for sc, st candidates and for the students whose family income is below 1lakh also have no tution fees,for students whose family income is above1 lakh but below 5lakh has to pay 1/3 of the tution fees but the students whose family income is above 5 lakh has to pay full tution fees
Campus Life
My overall experience is very different types of as every aspects has not the same experience, enjoying our daily life hostel life is very best part of my life and also the tech fest which are organised in our institute is very good but the schedule of the college of daily 8-5 classes is very tough sometimes
Hostel Facilities
The room facilities our not so good but also not so bad we got two bedded room in first year which contains two bed,two chairs,two studytables,two enough size wardrobe and also a balcony where we can sit or dry our clothes,meal quantity is good but the quality od the food is very average ans also very unhygienic that is the biggest problem for us in our college life
Admission
It is a government institute and also it is NIT which is just after IIT as an engineering institute so it is very Good for me to choosing this college over other colleges also the placement stats are way better than other colleges compared to it,i got this college with jee mains result
Faculty
The faculty-to-students ratio is not so good as very less teachers are their as compared to students strenght but i think the faculty some faculty memebers are very good as they work very hard to make us understand any topic and also they helps in solving questions and preparing us for the exams .Basic electronics and maths faculty i liked the most in first semester.chemistry and environmental science faculty i dont liked .in first semester their are two exams mid sem,end sem which contains 30,50 marks as total.
Night Life
Their our many other places other than studying which you can visit in our institute like asia largest digital library,gym, sports complex, cricket ground,football. ground,and many beautiful points which include beautiful lake view, mountain view
