Course Curriculum Overview

I like mechanical related course so i tool mechanical engineering as my UG course . The curriculum is not that bad but we need to do self study and other preparation to prepare for real world application

Class Size: 77Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship are there in college and in currently 2024 scheme by ktu it is compulsory to do Internship and we can go and meet other companies for Internship and teachers are there to help us to choose which will be help for us

Placement Experience

At third year onwards you can be eligible for campus placements and many top compaines are recruiting from the college that are L&T and other compaines . The percentage of students who are getting placed are not bad ,average package will be 400000

Fees and Financial Aid

10000 per year is the year wise fee and caution fee is 10000 and other fee is exclude such as examination and fee to the university. College have reservation for sc ,st category . Everyone have same fee structure . And scholarship are egrantz and other

Campus Life

The campus life depend on eachother and the friends we got from the college and program and other fest will be held in college and iste and nss , ieee ,iedc are also there . The campus is not that big compared to other colleges

Admission

I chose this college because it is govt college and the fees is less compared to other college and have a good academics in mechanical engineering branch and the admission is through keam entrance examination score

Faculty

The faculty student relationship are friendly and can ask doubts freely and they are approachable . All of them are best and some are not good compared to them and the classes are understandable. The exams are slightly difficult . And at the end of the semester there will be a lot of pressure for students and the curriculum is not bad

Night Life

Gym , Library and ladies hostel are there in college and mens hostel is not provided by college but there are private hostel nearby which from 3000 rate without food with food it start from 5000 . There is not mych night life in college

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
