Should You Take Admission in Meghnad Saha Institute Of Technology[MSIT]-Kolkata

Course curriculam is very very outdated. They did not even have proper clubs and tech culture in the college and projects they are miles miles miles apart in the 4th year you have to do your finbal year project and that also 2 or teacher took seriously other most of them either dont know about the subject or hold any practical kinowledge of the domain . Really a college where you can expect zero growth.

From 7th sem but the problem is 70 pecent of the placement began in 8th sem and 60 percent of student remain unplaced or getting placement form off campus. Deltax Tiger Analytics, Keyence EY etc but they took over all 15 student in total and only 4 month left from graduation. My plan is getting into field of data scince and machine learning but the college placement cell is not providing companies or any support so im trying off campus.

The year wise fees is -120000 for EWS students it is- 1700 For lab and etc there is no fees college will tell you multiple times to purchase courses from various sources of the college. For library there is additional some fees

There is hardly 2 3 tech fest. REcently there is GDSC before that there is only one club megatronix but trust me you dont want to be in megtronix the club culture become so so toxic that it would be your worst experience. There are sports clubs and cultural club they are pretty active and you can join any one of them but in tech the college has zero interest and zero percent participation.

In west bengal there is 2 type of joint entrance exam test so my luck was soo so so bad that the jee result came out after i took admission in this college so i payed 85k and stuck here for 4 years. Here if you want to get admition just pass the wbjee or even if you just appeear for the wbjee they will took you in but they will try to manipulate you for taking mechanical civil etc.

Faculty top student ratio is not good as they are keep on admitig students without having proper infra or anything. Student to teacher ratio is like for 20 students there is 1 teacher and for 200 students there is 1 on teacher. The compuiter science depertment hod and computer science department is nice and teachers are helpful. The mechanical facalaties are disgusting they always in attitude nobody knows why and how they got that but they have.

No gym, yes there is a caffeteria wich is closed for 20 days a month minimum. There is no college hostel there is hostel outside of the college and there is no public are. Yes there is lot of car garages Yamaha service center , Hero honda service center around the college if you consider them as public area. Library books are not upto dated half the time i dont get the book that i want . Hangout Places!! There is masi r dokan in front of college there only you can hang out and also college autostand where we hangout.
