Course Curriculum Overview

4

Basically I was interested in the mechanical branch towards the automobiles mainly and after going through the curriculum i finally decided to get mechanical course. Curriculum prepares us very well for the real world applications like we can have basic knowledge about the industry. Improvement need to be done in teaching methods like telling real world examples and practically teaching. Timing for the exams is 2 and half hour which is enough for the 70 marks paper and difficulty level is also Medium.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship is offered by the college in 3rd year which is in our syllabus which contains 100 marks. So companies don't give stipend to the students but if we do internship from outside we can get stipend but we need to find the company. Roles are not offered because we are interns we go to learn and experience. If we do good work while internship, the companies can help us in the BE final year project. Several companies take interns like TATA , thermax.

Placement Experience

4

From 7 semester (3rd year) students become eligible for the campus placement. Companies visiting our colleges are Capgemini, JSW, TATA, Ashok Leyland, Accenture, Cognizant, LTI and n number of companies. Some companies have eligibility criteria for 10th and 12th of 60 percent. And also they need zero backlogs or live backlogs. Highest package offered in our college was 70 LPA and average packages are 4 LPA . In mechanical branch last year 70 percent students got placed . My plan after getting degree is trying to get placed with enough package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees I am paying is 117000. Tuition fees is 103541. Development fees 13459. My batchmates who are from OBC category are paying 56000 per year. SC category students are paying 13000 per year.

Campus Life

4

Annual and technical festivals happens every year . Sanskriti is one of them which mega event which happens in the month of January. Also in sports there is Parakram event in which sports like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Chess etc game are played. There are soo many range of books in the library and which accessible to every students for 2 days . Classroom has many facilities like fans, tubelights and smart board too. Also college has 5G wifi facility available for students. There are clubs of each branch like for mechanical there is SUPRA, BAHA, INTERCEPTOR. These clubs are maintained by the students and guided by the faculty members.

Admission

There were lot many colleges which I applied like pccoe, pccoe&r, DYPIT etc. Basically after 12th exams there is CET examination for the students who are from science background for applying courses like pharmacy, engineering, architecture etc . In CET exams for engineering there are three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) . Physics has 50 questions for 1 mark each question and fir chemistry also which makes both subjects of 100 marks. Mathematics also has 50 questions for 2 marks each question that makes 100 marks . So total 200 marks examination is conducted. And it has syllabus of 11th and 12th both. Initially we need to clear the criteria for appearing for CET that is 50 percent in physics, chemistry and maths. After CET results there are 3 to 4 rounds for admission in which we need to list down our prioritised colleges. Because of the High cutoff of the colleges i wanted, I was not eligible for the admission and I got selected in DYPIT pimpri. DYPIT is also a great college with good placements and iam not disappointed with this. The admission process of my college is quite simple there is time period in which we have to go to college after selection in college and the staff will help you from the Start to end. I chose this college because it is near my house and also a well known college.

Faculty

5

Faculty members are smart and supportive they help you in research documents and assignments and during placement period also they help you on overall curriculum. The level of exam is quite moderate towards harder side as it is conducted by SPPU and all the rules are provided by pune university, 2 insem and 2 endsem in a year, of 30 and 70 marks particular and 25 internal per subject each semester.

Night Life

4

Nightlife in or outside of our college is safe because there are building everywhere and the shops. There is no gym in our campus but cafeteria, Library is open from the students. Library is open till 10 pm for the students. Hostel is across the road from the college very near. Hostel has very good infrastructure. Students can hangout near college on the tea shop, juice centre also breakfast facilities are there outside college. College surrounding is very good everything is nearby like hospital, metro station, bus stand, railway station.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
