Remarks
The college is in trivandrum so weather conditions are very good. It's neither very hot nor very cold. even though it gives direct placement in ISRO is is a research oriented college rather than job oriented college
Course Curriculum Overview
We have latest course curicullum which being designed by very prominent professors from all over the world. We also have most advanced lab facilities which are directly useful for space industry as well as other market we have two quizzes and then end semester exam every semester.
Placement Experience
First of all most of the placements in our college are done directly in ISRO for those who have secure a CGOA OF 7.5 and above. And for those who have CGPA below 7.5 there is a placement cell which looks after the placements of student's in various companies.
College Events
Every even semester we organize a cultural fest called DHANAK in which various cultural programs are organized. Participants all over the country come and take parts in various programs.And in every odd semester a technical fest called Consentia is organized in which various new technologies are demonstrated.Apart from this we also food fests and other interesting activities and seminars.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quiet feasible and cheaper as compared to other colleges. If one secured 7.5(general category) and 6.5(SC/ST/PWD) category then all the services including hostel fee course fee and mess fee are provided for free and if one doesn't secured 7.5 then he/she has to pay 50,000 per semester.

Campus Life
We have various groups such as AERO CLUB, PHYSICS CLUB ,QUIZ CLUB,MOVIE CLUB and many more clubs which organize various activities in various fields and are active throughout weekdays. We also basketball ,football as well as cricket teams which have won various prizes at various levels
Hostel Facilities
All the hotels are in very good condition as they have been made few years back with all the faciites which even IITS also don't provide. Each room in the hostel is shared by only two people. The hostel have all the arrangements for medical services also.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes we have a group called IIST ALUMNI which is being monitored by our seniors who are working as scientists in ISRO and other prestigious posts. They also take care about placement related and career related opportunities for their juniors
Admission
The admission is done purely on the basis of JEE ADVANCED cutoff marks. After that a separate rank list is being prepared Once you are in that rank list you will be eligible for counselling in any of the three courses held in IIST.
Faculty
All the faculties of the college are very educated and attained specialization in their field. Also they are very helpful and are ready to help whenever contacted to them with best possible solutions.
