Untold story of amritapuri campus

Course circular are usually well maintained for every semesters in my opinion, they have made the duration for semester low to give students more vacation time for them to do any internship etc. They could improve the teachin methods by not always depend apon the ppt and more into practical version. Exams timing as usually pert3ctly maintained and circulated, gives us good amount of time for preperation and attend, and due to the time they give us to prepare, the exams are usually tough and hard to write

Im still in sem 3 so the i dont have a lot of idea about it but from the stories my seniors told i heard we get internship from companies with nice roles and without a good stipend . But inorder to get a good intership they have to individually word hard to get one, even tho their are plenty of fish in the sea, unless u have a good fishing hook and rope its no good.

My collage get a good amount of placements every year. If we check the history of the collage we can see many MNC companies like Tesla, google, schnieder electrical, tata ,infosys, etc has come to the campus for taking the interview .we can see a constant placement salary from 6 to 20 lpa in the campus and the higehest gone was more than 70lpa ( not sure about the exact value).overall 90% of students gets placement in some reputed companies. Students will get placement training in our collage from sem 2 onwards and placements eligibility if from sem 6 and above

Usually its around 3 lakh for the non scholarship but for peoples who secured rank in their entrance exams they will get into 3 sectors which we call slabs, depending on their ranks they get...now i got around 10k rank in my entrance ,thus i got placed in slab 1 in amritapuri branch . Now u may wonder how i got in amritapuri slab 1, with 10k rank. So my first selection was coimbatore but due to my rank they made my selection into amritapuri which my my second choice. For slab 1 its 1lpa for slab 2 its 1.65lpa and for slab 3 its 2lpa

The campus experience is pretty fun actually, its somewhat like what i expected it to be,and one special thing i found out to be amazed is that, the collage is a rage free campus even at hostels we dont get ragged or havent heard of any news of anyone getting ragged . In our collage u can see a lot of clubs and social aspects . They always present some mini functions in our campus premise which is fun to watch. In our collage except the mini function we got a multi national fest called VIDYUT. Its an experience i always wish to come but sadly it only happens once an year. While talkin abiut the facilities, our collage got a small library at the top floor of our campus, even tho its small it got the basic necessities for a student and even techlab is near the library sp if u want to use the internet, u can easily spend your time their without any problem.

The hostel facility is overall a good and well maintained place, the cleaners does their job well and keeps the place clean. We got public toilets from second year onwards and not gonna lie the place is usually kept neat and tidy. In our room we got a ned, chair, and a desk all for ourself. We get a big room good for 6 peoples to accommodate but they only let 4 ppls to stay in one room, thus it feels huge . The food is vegetarian which is cooked in the amritha ashram. Not gonna lie i dont really like the food much, the food is good and healthy but my appetite needs some non veg . The quality of the food is good overall. If you rent a pg near our collage you will get extra freedom by it. I heard that the menu is good and the freedom u get too but too much freedom leads to danger soo i usually avoid going to a PG

I choose this collage over the others because, as i told before , this collage shows and opens a lot of oppertunities to study or to improve skills. I hear that students in other college only gets few holiday duration but for us they purposely gives us more time and opens a lot of intershio opportunity to utilise at that time. I only applied for government collage and vit other than amrita but from the teaching and oppertunities amritha gives us, i feel like i choose a good collage interms of placements, the environment etc. The admission experience for me was pretty simple. After i got the selection i just had to fill some forms online and it was done, i just had to go to the collage once to show the verification of the certificates i got and the admission was done.

The teachers in the first 2 sem are usually good and kind but from the second year we can see the difference on how they talk to us,not all teachers but some. I seems like they don't even want to teach.But there many other faculties who put their heart into teaching and they are very approachable and they'll help us in anything related to academics. The exam structure is divide into 2, internals and externals .60% is the weightage for internals amd rest 40 % for externals.we hve 1 mid sem examination and am end sem exam, also tons of class tests

The nightlife in our campus is a fun and beautiful site to enjoy with. Usually our functions are always at night so if we walk at night u can see the left over function lights and equipments in our campus. Our college best spot is the lovers corners, its just a small place near the side of the collage were tables and chairs are places under the shade of a lot of bamboo and different trees. The ambience is always beautiful with paintings on the wall etc. If we talk about the timing in our hostel, it closes its gates at 11pm and for our campus it will close at 8 or 9pm
