Likes

Maharaja Agarasen College campus is very good and big.
there is very nice and hygienic canteen they serve tasty food
faculty is very good and experienced they are experts for their respective subjects

Dislikes

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is only available for girls
teaching methods are not so world class they taught in traditional method
assignment , tests , written work is boring

Course Curriculum Overview

the BA(Honours) Political Science course divided into 6 semester or 3 years and there is three discipline specific core subjects in each semester and in 1 year you have to study three discipline specific core subjects and one general elective (GE) Paper , One Value addition Course (VAC) Paper , One Skill enhancement course (SEC) Paper , and last Ability enhancement Course (AEC) Paper.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 16340 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities provided by the college Training and Placement Cell (TPC) . there are so many internship for various students for according to their course and interest . many government sponsored internships also provided to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees for 1 year is rupees 16340 and there is Student Aid Fund scholarship for students whose family income less than rupees 2 lack. and many scholarship also available in delhi university portal for various category of students.

Campus Life

The college organise so many things such as freshers party , farewell party , seminar for enhancing knowledge of students . The college Library located on second floor of main building . there is vast range of books and research papers , journals available in library . many college societies are functioning in fieds of dance , music , environment , literature etc.

Admission

I applied for many colleges such as Hindu College , Hansraj College, St. Stephens College , Dyal Singh College but unfortunately I got 663 marks out of 800 marks . In first round of allocation of DU. I got BA(Honours) Hindi in Hansraj College. Then I opted for Upgrade and I got BA(Honours) Political Science in Maharaja Agarasen College . Admission process is very smooth and online without any corruption

Faculty

Some faculty members are so good . they interacted very much with students . so friendly with the students , laugh with students but some faculty members are not so good . they are less interactive . they only focus on writing notes. the BA(Honours) Political Science course is divided into 6 semester or 3 years

Night Life

The nightlife around my college is very good so many cafeterias , food stalls , shops , restaurants and dominos outlet is also there in around distance of hundred meter from college entrance . the famous shop for food is ''Tiffin'' located in Vashundhara Enclave delhi .

Honest review of DU SOL B.A. good for working students not for regular college experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.A from DU SOL because the course curruculmis exactly the same as regular DU colleges which gives degree strong crediblity for UPSC goverment jobs and further studies like M.A the syllabus is coprehensive and covers core subjects like histyory, poltical science and english litreature in detail

KMC and DU reality and my college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

BEYOND THE BOOKS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

I chose this college based on infrastructure as there wasn't much information available about this college online. Alsoz on the du official website, this college is mentioned as North campus which was a confusion for me at that time as I thought it was true but it wasn't as this is an off campus college of Delhi University. The admissions in the whole of University of Delhi is based on CUET scores. The preferences need to be filled by the students and then he/she is allotted the college according to the cit off and the scores. The subjects that need to be taken in cuet should be the same as in 12th boards. For humanities/arts courses the scores are out of 800. So, for arts courses the normal cit off for general category students are around 650, for obc students around 500 and for sc/st is much lower....Read More

I applied through CUET as that's the way out for DU and I wanted ST Stephen's but it is a top college and probably the 3rd best college of DU. However at MAC cutoffs are reasonable and plus they are the ones who offers this course, so I joined MAC....Read More

MAC is magnificent!!

Same as CUET as all the colleges listed under DU has the same process. Its not that 12th percentage are ignored they too are calculated but ultimately the winner is CUET. Definitely MAC was not the first choice as it was the Hindu College but never mind MAC was good too....Read More

My personal experience of MAC

Earlier I got admission in Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar college university of Delhi but Then I got this one in second round of admission. And I choose this one because of it's fee structure that is less compared to others. And for the admission you have to appear in common university entrance test (CUET) conducted by NTA then you have to apply for the admission through Delhi University's counselling process which is common seat allocation system CSAS then according to your score and college preference you'll get your admission....Read More
