A life in a decent NIT

Well our college follows the new education policy,so definitely our college is trying to teach relevant things. Well i chose this couse because this was the best course which i could get at my JEE rank considering the placements and Return of investment. The exam difficulty is average but generally there are no gaps between the exams which makes it more difficult.... And most students get the placement at the final year so i would say the course is relevant....

Well yes, in our third year, we do get the internship opportunities, but majorly the circuital branches gets the internship opportunities.... The core students such as mech and civil do not get much opportunities and they have to find internships on their own with their own contacts....

The placements in our college is good and nearly more than 85 percent students gets placed at an average package of more than 10 lakhs. Cse has the highest placements with averaging at more than 18 lakhs/ year.

The fees of a semester is 62500 which means 125000 in a year, the hostel and mess charges combined are 32,000 per semester which means 64,000 in a year. But if you are a sc/st candidate or a general/obc whose income is less than 1 lakh/year, then tution fees are waived and you only have to pay the hostel and mess fees. As this is a NIT, therefore the fee structure we got in the first year will be our fees for the remaining years.... There are many scholarships too given by the state and central government, there is NSP too....

Well my first year went extremely good, frankly speaking i was in the heavens enjoying regularly with college events but after the shifting of students in the new bihta campus, the college life has been messed up.

Well for boys the hostel facilities are good except for the sone hostel. In brahmaputra hostels, u generally get a 2 seater with 2 cupboard, 2 socket and a balcony. The cleanliness of toilets are generally good so u won't face issue at most of the time.

1) eligibility of the course- you have to give JEE mains and u must have got 75 or above percentage in class 12 boards. 2) u can the application form from the official JEE website, and the cost would be approx 1000. 3) there is reservation system also for lower castes, lower income groups and females.

The professors are highly qualified, every professor has done its phd from IIT or foreign universities and there are many faculties, and yes faculties are approachable, many even give their mobile number so that we can ask doubts. Some faculties like SUNIL singh rana sir is a great professor, he teaches with great clarity of conceptions. Well there are no faculties which i didn't liked but definitely many professors are from different state so language barrier can be a issue for u.... And i would also like to add that professors have a great in depth knowledge but not everybody knows how to share that knowledge, so if u r a student, u should know that how to extract knowledge from uur professor....

There is no night life if you are in the first year and if you are a girl, u too don't have any night life. But if u are a male student, and if you are alloted brahmaputra hostel, you have a little night life, you can go to the ground floor at night and buy few snacks from the "Hotspot" Which is open till 3 AM.
