A review by the perspective of 1st semester student.

Actually this was the branch that l was getting that is mechanical engineering. But now studying about machines, their applications, their principles involved make me feel interesting. For improvements we need more and more demonstrations of working principles.

UpYes, the internship opportunities are offered by the college. I am in the first year now that is why l have no much idea about this although there are always messages of different internships and trainings in our group.

This year the campus placement was nice. Average for mechanical branch was 8 to 9 lakhs per annum and highest package was 17 lakhs per annum around 75 percent were placed and it is still going on. If l am not placed from campus then l have decided to appear for government teacher though l am sure it won't happen.

Tution fees for sc, st and income less than one lakh is nil and overall fee for one semester is 20400 rupees. We can apply for scholarship like National Scholarship Scheme who are economically weaker sections and SC, S T.

There are two fest that are organized per year. One is technical fest and other is cultural fest. Cultural generally is conducted in the month of october and technical fest is genrally held in the month of March or April. There are many clubs and technical societies as well.

We have room with three beds, two fans, one combined table, three comfortable chairs, almirah for keeping our things and most beautiful thing is the balcony. This is first year and after 1st year we are going to get single seater room. Hostel provides students with ground for volleyball, badminton and cricket. Also it provides indoor games like carrom and table tennis. The hostel demands approximately 7 thousands per month.

I had applied for nit trichy, nit surathkal, nit warangal etc but l knew l would not get those as my percentile was low that is approximately 90 and cut off for ST category in nit kurukshetra is 89 or something.

Yes the faculties are approachable. Obviously there are faculties you like and also some you dislike. But mostly of the faculties tend to complete the syllabus but if you ask questions they will definitely answer. There are two mid sems and one end sem exam. Most students clear the exam with ease.

After classes are over students go to gym or go to canteen for refreshments. Some play, some run on the ground. In hostels also we play cricket, watch television, play carrom, table tennis, badminton and volleyball. And in the evening l hang out in the infinity corridor watching girls.
