Likes

Everyone is very friendly and the faculties are really very helpful
There are cultural clubs named yuva and sargam ..which helps an individual to show their skills
The placement record is actually very good

There is no campus life as the campus is not much big

Course Curriculum Overview

I took csbs because it is a new course and there more chance of getting placed in IT industries The curriculum is not so much tough it is more or less same like cse core Just it has mba parts in 4th year

Class Size: 33Course Fees: INR 700000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies which offered internship and our college also takes part in SIH ( smart India hackathon) Topics are given and we have to choose any of them and create our project in groups Avg stipend is 8 to 10 k

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement after 3rd year(6th sem) There are many companies such as TCS, cognizant , Wipro etc Avg salary is 4-5 lakhs and some also gets 8-9 lakh 70 to 80 % students gets placed while the companies visits our campus

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees-1.8lakh Caution fee -2 thousand Our college accept student credit card scheme and also Swami vivekanand scholarship In Frist 2sems the fees will be 95k per sem then the rest 6 sems will be 84k per sem

Campus Life

The library is really very good and it has an online lab through which we can access internet..and there many varieties of books in the library. There are club like yuva the cultural club of msit Sargam the music club And social club -rcmsit Also there is a tech club megatronix Among these the best club is sargam

Admission

I had applied in iem for cse but I had got me ce and ece but I wanted to study cse .. Msit was offering me and after enquiring many frnds and Google sites and other relatives I got to know that it is a good clg

Faculty

The faculties are really very helpful and they provide their mob no. For any help whenever we need . There are 4 ca in each sem Ca 1 ppt Ca 2 report Ca 3 class test Ca 4 online MCQ Ca 3 is the most toughest but the rest are very easy comparing to ca 3 .. But the teachers gives enough suggestions to get good marks

Night Life

Our college doesn't provide hostel but there are many pgs and hostels near clg and they have enough facilities to stay well. There are many gym , cafe , and it is totally safe to walk around at night.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

MSIT KOLKATA COLLEGE REVIEW

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good. Admissions are done generally by MANAGEMENT QUOTA, WBJEE AND JEE MAINS rank the JEE MAINS and MANAGEMENT QUOTA seats consume 20% and rest 80% is WBJEE merit students.
