Course Curriculum Overview

5

the subjects that i am taught in my semester is pretty relevant to understand the subject better in the present day scenario. the books that we are taught helps us get a deep understanding odf the origin if the activities that we see today in the political world. the teaching method of my faculty is nice . they organize manhy mock parliaments, dicussions and deabte sessions throughout the course.

Internships Opportunities

4

the placement cell of our college provides paid internship opportunities with various comapnies which one can avail with his skills. the placement cell is very active. the students are provided onncampous internsip as well that are paid woth the avergae stipend being around 6000.

Placement Experience

3

as per the kirori mal college NIRF report 2024, the average package offered was 7 LPA. total nunmber of 358 students were placed out of the total 700 students that were looking for a job. the highest international and domestic package offered during placement was around 51LPA nad 36 LPA respectively. more than 225 companies both national and international visited the college looking for placements. speaking of my course in particular, we dont get as such placement records as most of the students either pursue for higher education or civil services. but the placement cell of my college is really active and provides us with various internship opportunities as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

the total fees for one year that i had to pay was around 15000 . this fee structure included all the cgharges and fees that would have been implicable throughout the whole year. No other fees were taken from us after the admission process as well. the course fee is same for all the reservation quotas and the categories. the college on its own does provide a lot of scholarship opportunities for the students in need.

Campus Life

5

the college life is very lively and joyous in the college. there are annual fests usually held in the month of february where many artists perform. the crowd of my college is one othe best . the library of my college is okay . there aren't that many variety of books available. the library reading halls are spacious and can accomodate a large number of students. the infrastructure of the college is good with various facilities. the extracurricular activites are not that vast and does not include that many options. the sport6s of our college is not that great. the college student groups are very active and many events anf seminars are held regularly. the overall campus social life is grest.

Admission

the admission process for these college is thriough entrance exam and is merit based. the person with higher score gets the chance to be a part of the best college. kirori mal college today is one of the best colleges jin the entire delhi university for pursuing ba pol sci hons. although hindu college is one of the best college overall, but politically it is more leaned towrads the theoretical part of the science wioth the crowd being the book worms from all the spheres. in kirori mal college one caan develop himself with the practical life that the college provied therefore i leaned towards my current course more.

Faculty

4

the faculty of my particular course is very qualified aqnd helpful in different spheres. they are always eager to help us in every way possible. their knowledge base of the given subject or domain is very wide which helps us to undersatand the concept better. the faculty of other courses as well is really nice and helpful. the course structure is i would say perfect for us to know our subject from the depth and help us grasp the conceptual bsase of subject even better. the difficulty level of the course is moderate.

Night Life

3

the night life arounf the camous isvery lively and fun. there is gym facility provided in the college available for both males and females. the north campus has gresat night light life with popular night markets.

Other Applied Colleges

Hindu College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)

the cutt off of this college for the particular course that i wanted to pursue is usually very high. the other factor that made me not opt for this college was that the crowd of this college or the camous life of this college is not that great

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
