Good Review

I wanted to enginerring so i decided to do it from india's best colleges and got NIT Silchar in JOSSA selection round. I also wanted to discover northeast india beauty so i choosed this college to persue my bachelor's degree. This college has also a good nirf ranking. The academic enviroment here is so good and it is well structured and teachers are very good to explain any topic that bothers us. We also have our labs and practical exams which help us to understand things at good level. They is no such improvement in academic section it will same for years . The mid sem exam is conduct after the completion of two months of studies and the mid sem is for 30 marks and the time given for mid sem exam is 2 hours then after one and half months of studies then there are minor test and practical exam after that the main exam end sem which is the exam of the semester which is of 50 marks and the time given for end sem exam is 3 hours and the difficulty level of the exam depend on your studies that you have done before your exam. The overall exam paper is not so hard not so easy.

The offer internship to those who CGPA above 7.5 and extra skill then they shotlist resume for internship propose . The company software developer engineer role and many other role in the companies . They also see that what project have you done and also ask question related to the project that you have made . They are many round for interview some of them are coding round, interview round, group discussion round and the final round for HR interview . After qualify all round then you get the internship offer .

We are eligible for campus placements after the completion of our third year. Before that we can get summer internship after the completion of second year. There are various which reach our college for campus placements some of them are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Paypal, Walmart, Cisco and many more companies. The highest package offer was 80 lakh per year. And the average package is 14 lakh per year. The placement percentage of our college is 89.4 which is the good placement percentage. My plans after getting degree is to in top IT company.

I am a student of NIT Silchar and my name is Shivam Purbey and i am paying 67000 per year not including the mess fees . I am a OBC student and my family income is below 1 lakh so i pay Rs 0 for tuition fees. The mess fees for per year is Rs 45000.The college has taken advance fees Rs 20000 which will be refunded after the completion of B .Tech . The college has taken fees 11000 per semester for all other fees like registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees, medical fees, gym fees, water fees, TV fees, mess management fees, hostel room rent, light charge, T&P charge etc. One of my friend who is general category student has paid 73500 per semester as tuition fees and all other fees are same for all categories. Some of the scholarships that are available for students such as PM yashasvi scholarship (which provide Rs 80000 for ug student per year), Reliance Foundation scholarship( which provide Rs 2 lakh for ug student for full course). There are also some other scloharship for ug students.

Our college organize two festivals the one is technical fest and the other is cultural fest. The name of tectnical fest is Tecnoesis which is organize in the month of november in which various technical event take place. The name of cultural fest is Incandescence which is organize in the month of february in which various cultural event take place. In our college there is biggest library campare to other colleges. There are all kind of books is available for entrance level exam such as GATE, NDA, SSB and many other kind of books. The provide normal facility for classrooms and provide lab for practical use such as computer lab , elecltronics and commmunication lab, electrical lab, engineering graphics and design lab, chemistry lab, physics lab, mechanical lab, and communicative english lab. The college provide various facility for sports and extracurricular activities. The college provide football ground, basketball court, badminton court, cricket ground and also provide GYM for physical fitness. There are many clubs in our college such as music club, dance club and many other clubs.

The hostel provide good facilities such as room, internet servive . They also provide bad in the room, table in the room . the washroom are clean every one day in week. They provide breakfast, lunch, dinner in the meal . And the quality of breakfast and lunch is average . The quality of dinner is good. The menu is different for every day .Every sunday there is a grandfast for dinner. We have to fill registration form and pay hostel fees then the room is allot . The process for hostel allotment is easy . There are rented room or PG outside the campus but it will be costly for student to rent for room or PG.

I have applied in the JOSAA portal in which there various colleges such as IIT, NIT, GFTI'S and other government colleges for engineering. In this portal I have college on the base of my rank in the JEE mains exam which is a national level entrance exam for engineering. I have got other NIT's also but not got the branch that i want to therefore i choose NIT Silchar in which i got Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. I also choose this college because it is near to my home then other colleges.I have not applied in other college which is not present inside the JOSAA portal. I got admission through JOSAA portal and after the completion of all the process in the JOSAA portal after that there was physical reporting at the college there we have to fill form and other process. To eligibile for NIT's you have crack JEE main entrance level exam and the cutoff for NIT's is 95 percentile. the overall admission experience was very good.

The faculty-to-student ratio in our college is 1:90 . The relation between faculty and student is friendly and the faculty are very kind and they are approachable as they provide extra classes and the student to ask doubts . The faculty I like are Dr. Ambrish Devanshu, Dr. Shashi Kumar GK, Prof. Parthajit Roy, Dr. S.K. Barik . Dr. Ambrish Devanshu is the faculty for subject Basic Electrical Engineering. Dr. Shashi Kumar GK is the faculty for subject Communication English. Prof. Parthajit Roy is the faculty for Engineering Graphics and Design. Dr. S.K. Barik is the faculty for Physics.Every faculty is good and unique in his way of teaching we do not have the right to judge them. There are two main exams the one mid sem exam and the other is end exam. There also practical lab exam for practical subjects. The exam level mostly depend on your studies . The overall exam is not so hard not so easy.

The GYM in our college is big and good. Timing for GYM is 4: 00 pm to 8: 00 pm . The cafe is inside the campus and the timing for cafe is 10: 00 am to 8: 00 pm .The library in our college is very big and all books are available and the timing for library is 10: 00 am to 5: 00 pm . The hostel in timing is 8: 00 pm and the campus in timing 7: 00 pm .The campus is very big and have hangout place such as park , tea graden and lakes. And outside campus are place for hangout is mall, tea graden , temple and other place.
