Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum are revised each year to include latest updates of the subject. It stresses on practical knowledge rather than the bookish one only. Practical studies and field works are assigned for the subjects which require them. Each semester is of 6 months. During this time we have to appear for two class tests within a gap of 1 month, 1 presentation and two assignments for each subjects. The last months are comprised of the final exams of the semester.
Internships Opportunities
All the courses are provided internship opportunities and are trained for that on the campus. Students are allowed to opt for thei specific preferred fields of internship. The internships are provided in reputed companies. Anyhow not all internships are paid and students have to invest financially in the transport and food during internship.
Placement Experience
Students get internship and placement opportunities on campus, during the last year of their courses. The willing students have to register for the campus opportunities and they're thoroughly informed about each of the opportunities and employment availability. They can apply to their preferred companies or jobs. If someone leaves one company, the person is again given chances to sit for other companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is 2 Lakhs. Admission fee is 45000 and fee must be paid before the start of semester. Attendance of 75% must be maintained each semester. Scholarship is provided base on the students previous result of Bachelor. Fees structure vary for each person according to their result.
Campus Life
The campus is ragging free and promotes equality and secularism. It allows students to wear any dress within the code. The annual fest takes place once a year and celebrities are invited. Sports events and other cultural activities go on throughout the year. The University has drama club, photography club and cine club which conducts events and welcomes all the students to be part of the clubs.
Admission
I didn't apply to other colleges but I researched about them before taking my admission. This college provides practical knowledge, industry training and experienced faculties. Apart from that the course fee was reasonable than other private colleges.
Faculty
The faculties are specialised in their subjects and have industry experience. They rely on other sources instead of only books. The marking is done based on final written exam of 60% and internal of 40%, which includes class tests (20%), presentation (10%) and assignments (10%). Failing to appear or pass any of the two will result in backlog, which can be cleared in the next odd/even semester.
Interview Experience
I had to appear for a written test that contained Multiple choice questions. It also requires a basic talk with the admission counsellor. As I was an existing student I didn't have to go through much procedure but one requires to submit the needed documents.
Night Life
Though I do not reside in the hostel, I know about it briefly. The hostel residersare allowed to roam outside the campus for a brief time period of 2 hours, from 6-8 pm, after completing the required formalities. The cafeteria is open throughout the day and gets closed at 8 pm. Anyhow, the canteen stays open till 10 pm.
