Best merchant Navy college with the atmosphere similar in the ships

The college is on the outskirts of the city of kolkata.So the crowd is very less as compared to any other place.One has to follow a Navy routine daily which is necessary for ourselves. The workshop contains very old equipments and many non working machines

The course is purely based on engineering and the necessary operations that one has to perform on board.We are taught how to react in emergency condition on board and the course includes every essential subject.

No,it doesn't provide any Internship.But if one wants to do that he or she can do an internship other than the college side.There are various organizations that come to our college for numerous internships.

Placements are nowadays declining.Students around 10 years back got 100%placements. Now we have to work very hard to get placed in our dream companies.Companies do come and take only those cadets who are good in studies and can speak fluent English

There are very less events celebrated in our college maybe due to financial condition of the college.The main event of the college is The Tempest. It's a four day fest which includes almost everything including games sports music dance and even technological competitions

The fee structure is a little expensive because one lakh per semester is a huge amount.Although uniforms books and mess cost is included in this it seems to be a little expensive than a normal engineering college.

The college provides with scholarships to top sixty students with a scholarship of a lakh to the first student and then next thirty with scholarships of 75000 each and next thirty with the scholarships of 50000 each.

The college is very famous for it's extra curricular activities and the sports activities organised in the college.It contains almost each and every sport which is necessary for us to play daily. There are computer labs electrical labs electronics lab and even workshop lab in the college

The Junior hostel infrastructure is the best as compared to all the other hostels where there are facilities of TV room dining room and even study room.Its a very spacious hostel with a quadrangle in between the hostel

The passouts are the saviours of our college. Without them our college is a normal college. They are the one who recommend us to the companies.Also our seniors are well disciplined and well mannered.

The Exams are divided into internals and externals.One has to get good marks in the internals and has to clear the externals to pass in that semester. It's not easy to pass in the semester exams as the passing marks is fifty percent in the externals.

We have to clear the college entrance that is IMUCET exam to get admission in this college. It's an exam similar to Jee Mains but it contains Gk and Current affairs too.The level of the exam is much simpler than Jee Mains.

The faculty of the college is very experienced one.Most of them are passouts from our College. But there are many visiting faculties also. They try to teach every little thing that is important for the student.
