A Superpower in the making

The college being newly established, needs a lot of improvements and improvisations, which are being done in full swing. So it can be truly and correctly said that a superpower for future is in making. And even at this stage, it is capable enough to produce quality engineers for the nation.

The college follows the curriculum of the eminent IIT, Kgp and is adequately structured for all round development of the students to convert them from kids to engineers. The course strongly goes in terms with most of the companies and inculcates necessary bookish as well as practical knowledge.

My college provides and arranges for internship facilities. But being a first year student, I've not been a part of the same and can't adequately comment on the topic. However, the internships that have been provided are mostly from other IITs and IIMs and some other reputed companies such as TCS and Wipro.

The placements have been on the rising since the establishment of the college and have seen a great betterment after the handing over of mentorship to IIT, Kgp in 2017. The base package starts from ?2.5LPA, though the average ranges from ?4-5LPA according to the In-campus records. The off campus placement drives have provided the students with jobs with packages even higher than ?10LPA in reputed organisations.

My college celebrates all the national level functions ranging from national independence and readers' anniversaries. Apart from that, the college also hosts some job fair and other special seminars. The yearly sports and cultural events are also held with the help of the respective committees that have been formed here.

The fee structure is on the expensive range, being almost ?2 Lacs per year. The tuition fees and the hostel feel are included in the payment amount and is charged semester wise at the start of every semester.

The college comes under the Institutes of National Importance. So all national level banks provide loans for studies and scholarships are available in state levels as well as from the National scholarships portal.

The labs are just enough for use. Betterment of the same is going on. Upgradation of equipments and facilities are being done in full swing. Sports facilities are provided with the collaboration of the state govt. at a sports ground of the WB govt. near the college premises.

The hostel facilities have been satisfactory, but with lots of scopes of improvement, that are being worked upon. And college infrastructure is not up to the mark, but yet just enough to hobe the skills and make complete engineers for the future.

The alumni network is not yet very widespread and strong, as the college is moderately new as far as establishment is concerned. But the senior students are extremely helpful and are willing to help the juniors selflessly. Needless to mention, there's not even a little bit of ragging, even in a light mood.

The exam structure is strictly followed and maintained by the mentor institute and focuses more on application based knowledge rather than plain bookish knowledge. The students' concepts are put to test and the best is brought out of them through these tests and assessments.

I got admission in this college through the online counselling procedure carried out by JoSAA through JEE Main examination. Once approved and seat allotted by JoSAA, one needs to report to the college to confirm the seat.

The faculty are highly qualified personnel who are tirelessly striving for constant betterment of the students and their futures. Most of the are Ph. D in their respective fields of studies and are always willing to help the students.
