Remarks

I love my college very much. It is like a second home to me. The faculty is great. The functioning is pretty decent too. But I hope that the continuous construction work stops. It really is annoying and disturbs the decorum of the classrooms, the college campus is dusty most of the time which is not nice for someone like me who has dust allergies.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I love the course. It is very informative. At first I found it a little difficult and different from what I had studied in school but with the time it becomes easier to understand. Great teachers make it more interesting.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college doesn't provide internship. Even if it does, I have never come across any such internship that could help me your my fellow classmates. But we do have other organisations and companies who present themselves to the college students for work and internships.

Placement Experience

2

The placement is mostly for management related courses. Since I'd like to pursue my career in the arts field, I find it difficult to compete with my fellow classmates who already have gotten through their placements and will have jobs after they graduate.

College Events

2.5

We have our annual college fest- MONTAGE. Where we have other 2000 people gathered. It is a two day event, where well known artists like another Mishra, zaeden have performed live. We also have fests at the societal and department level. For instance- The western music society's fest name is madrigal. Here we have competitions for Acapella, solo, duet singing, and battle of the bands. The name of my department fest is- Carpe diem. The theme changes every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is structure is feasible. I belong to a middle class family, so it was pretty alright. But since our college is a semi govt one, the fees is slightly higher than the other A grade colleges in DU. But for those who belong to lower class families, it could be a little difficult for them.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of the scholarships that my college offers. I have never taken an interest in it. But I'm sure there must be scholarship that is provided by the college. But the college does fund for students who belong to economically weaker families.

Campus Life

3.5

The sports activities are great. We have an annual sports day where every department participates with in the March pass. We hire a band that leads us. And also have other track and field evens. Besides that we have a we'll functional psychology lab that helps in practical work.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Unfortunately, JMC does not have a hostel facility. So all the outstation students, either live in PGs near college or rent homes at cheaper locations in Delhi. But if the college were to have a hostel facility, I think that would be amazing as we have many outstation students and foreigners as well.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is pretty great. I am still in touch with my seniors who graduated when i was in my first year. We annual alumni meets at both the collegiate and department level. It is always fun to be in touch with or seniors.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is doable. It's not easy nor that tough. But sometimes, it can get confusing Everytime the structureof one paper changes but the others don't. We follow the pattern sent by Delhi University.

Admission

I got in on the basis of merit ; my class 12th results. My name was in the first list itself. A particular day was scheduled for all the BA students. I had to first show my documents of certificates from school, get it signed, get it rechecked, get that signed and then pay the fee. The que was very long but the wait was worth it.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty of the college are well versed and very helpful. They are very patient and make sure the student gets their work done. I have always been surrounded with a kind faculty in college who maintain a good rapo with the students.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
