Likes
- I liked the transportation system they have over all the city.
- The security they provide in every floor at least 2 or more than 2 security guard are present.
- facilities like clean rooms and washrooms time to time . behaviour of teachers is good.
Dislikes
- placements are available but the majority of offers comes from smaller companies and limited opportunities
- few professors are highly knowledgeable but others lack effective teaching skills or fails to engage the class
- infrastructure issue all the courses are held in same building which create a quos
Course Curriculum Overview
As per as my journey. currently I completed my 1 semister and in this I totally focused on the engineering subjects physics, maths etc. area to improve they should make the curriculum more practical so every sudent can feel what and why we are learning the things. which can change the approch of the students.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are avaliable in the college. Google microscoft infosys and amazon are some of the companies visit the campus or provide the internship stipend up to 2 lakh a month. some companies takes the students based on the their skill in coding and data analysis cloud compting.
Placement Experience
Placement of this college is preety good . As on campus placement is also provided to the students. average package of this university is around 7 lakh per anum and highest package is around 80 lakh per anum in google . Also google and amazon and other companies aslo take the students for the internship proprams .
Fees and Financial Aid
Graphic era Hill University Dehradun variety of ug and pg programs ,each with it's own fee structure. I opted for b tech CSE and my yearly fees is around 2.5 lakh. They offers scholarship for the students belongs to the hilly area around 25% of the total fees. Also academic scholarship based on 12 percentage , cuet and jee percentile. Also for defence ward they offer some concession. I was in 1st simester so as per as my batch mates they are paying around 2 lakh a year. one of them is under defence ward he pays around 1.5 lakh a year.
Campus Life
My overall experience is good in campus, They provide various programs weekly. on the social aspect it is good and students are determined and easily we can make them friends. infrastructure is not to big, which is aslo a negative point but within the campus they provide facilities to us. They should make the infrastructure as per the requirement of the students.
Admission
I chose the college because of it's relevant curriculum. they ensures students are equipped with the latest skills. Also there strong placement record many companies like google, amazon,infosys , etc visit the campus. from other university in Dehradun I prefered GEHU by choosing GEHU you are investing in a university that combines academic excellence, career opportunities and a hoslistic learning experience. Admission process is very simple you can visit the university or through online website you can submmit your application form and they contact with you and book your date and within a hour you can secure your seat to this university.
Faculty
as per as the students a few professors are highly knowledgeable, others lack effective teaching skills. The realtionship bewteen the faculty and students is good. they are helpfull to us . In 1st semister I liked my maths professor and a electrical lab professor they both incourage us and the way they teaches is greate specially Ms. Monika Bisht our maths professor. Their is no one I donn't like but yeah all of them are good and helpful. Exams are not to easy and not to difficult .If we focused on classes and go through we can easily secure best cgpa .
Night Life
Night life around the college is good as I talked some of my fellow mates. It's happening , you can find many cafe around the campus and gym are also avaliable in walking distance. But the size of the library is not to big in campus so most of the students prefer to sit ouside in the open area.
