- My college's climate is very good . It is full of greenary. Green everywhere .
- Here the curriculum is different from other nits like they started the core from the first year onwards
- Here the people form kerala were good and humble (faculty)
Dislikes
- As it is old college the building were old and no lifts are available
- Boys to girls ratio is very less here , In our class there are total of 50 students there are only 6 girls rest of them are boys
Course Curriculum Overview
Here the curriculum is not that much good. Like the plan is good but implement is bad like they are lagging the timetable . Not punchual. The exam difficulty level was okk many of the students are able to manage it well
Internships Opportunities
Yes for every student in the campus internship opportunities are available in 3rd year. As I am ece student there are many good companies like texas instruments, Qualcomm,oracle etc provide good internship opportunities
Placement Experience
Previously before Covid the placements in this college were good for every department. After Covid like due the recission, the college placements were so bad compared to the previous ones . Also due to some faculty changes has an impact on this
Fees and Financial Aid
There is different fee structure for different students depends on the family income. As I come under the catagory of one lakh below, no need of paying tution fees i have to pay 13000 per semester as hostel rent free and other , total mess fee per year was around 70000
Campus Life
NIT Calicut has a vibrant campus life with tech and cultural fests like Tathva and Ragam, diverse clubs, good hostel facilities, a huge library, sports complexes, and a scenic green campus. Also there are many competitions and opportunities to explore
Hostel Facilities
As the infrastructure is very old here the rooms are very old there are three students per room . The room space is good enough to stay with two fans , two lights , hostel mess food was good many times , but sometimes it is very bad
Admission
As I tried my best to get addmission in iits but unfortunately I got less marks in jee advanced examination. But with that marks I was able to get addmission in iits . But I couldn't get a better department.so rather than choosing some department I would like to go with interest
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good , here the system for faculties was good like they will appoint many faculty for students welfare and health , I liked my Maths faculty (Sunil Mathew) he is very good maths professor he interlinks maths with reality it sounds interesting
Night Life
There is only one gym here. The night life is very good . Timing were good we have student swimming pool for relaxing outside the college there are many places to explore (places like beaches, waterfalls , tourist spots)
