Course Curriculum Overview
Course outcome focuses on the Improvement of student learning and experience in real world manufacturing and industries which made me to choose Electronics and communication.There will be regular labs and visits to industries for attainment of practical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Total internships for UG students are 207 and 110 for PG students .Companies like Axis bank,Oracle,IBM provided good number of internships with stipend upto 30000 per month.Projects like analytics are are provided to students and made them eligible for future opportunities.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements.208 companies visited last year and 1080 placement offers were made .Highest package is about 50LpA and average package is about 20LpA.My plans are getting a job placement after degree
Fees and Financial Aid
I will be paying 1,25,000 for tuition fees yearly and 75,000 for hostel fees and all the lab fees,exam fees,will be included in tuition fees.Some of my batchmates from other categories have different fees sc students dont have any tuition fees.
Campus Life
There will be two major fests in college Ragam- which is a cultural fest held in February and Tathva-which is a technical fest held in October .There are good facilities in the classrooms with projector and a smart board with good Wifi network .There are many sports like cricket,football, and extracurricular events held in college like dance competitions.
Hostel Facilities
There will be accomodation for three members in one room with Wifi facility,Hot water facility,Mess facility etc.Meal quality can be improved and student expectations are not met and other things are pretty decent.
Admission
I applied for other colleges like IITs and other NITs but I got a better course and better college in terms of education and student experience.I got through JEE Mains examination to get into this college .With 99.2percentile I got Electronic and communication engineering in NIT Calicut.
Faculty
There will be one professor in one class of 40 students Faculty is very friendly and well behaved with students and very approachable.Sunil Matthew sir from maths department is very insightful and gives good ideas about subject.There will be one mid examination and one end examination per semester.And the exam level is moderate.
Night Life
Nightlife in NIT Calicut is very peaceful and fun .Students hangout In groups to Milma and other cafeterias.There are many places to roam outside campus like coconut point ,auditorium.There is a Gymnasium to other students for who are interested in body building.
