Is Brila good for students seeking for self study

College is good for students seeking for a healthy living environment to study and stay. Faculty is average but helpful. Best for students who wants extra time for their self study and future goals. Away from all unnecessary leisure that may prove as an distraction in studies. Apart from this bhimtal and college itself is a very small campus. So you can't expect much opportunities. All you have to look and grow by yourself.

The courses provided by Birla include b.tech and MCA degree. In b.tech there are only 2 branches available that are cpmputer science and electronics and communication engineering. And MCA on other hand is a post graduation degree. Course curriculum has been recently updated by the University and in order to improve the performance of students doing b.tech.

No college do not provide you with any kind of internship. You have to look for these internship on your own. This is one of the drawback of this college for sure. That you have to be all well aware of your own for such things only you can seek is for help from seniors.

Placement is fine not tooo good I can say but also not nill. The good company list includes mainly TCS, NCR. But college keeps on encouraging students about job opportunities through various exams like co cubes, Codevita etc. Along with this aptitude and English classes are conducted by external faculty and coaching institutes like TIME and CAREER LAUNCHER.

There are many internal events keeps on going throughout the year unlike any other colleges. One big and main event is an annual Fest known as SPECTRUM, held every year in the month of April. It too includes many events depending on organised by different societies. The list is long so can assume almost all events you expect from a normal college.

Fee structure is around 60 to 70 thousand per semester. It is quite affordable if you belong to a middle class family. But the food provided by Birla Institute mess is far better than any other hostes.

No there is no such facility offered by college you have to look for these facilities on your own.there is no provision of providing any kind of scholarship from college itself. And for loans you have to take it on your own from some bank or so.

Extracurricular activities are many. There are societies like culture, sahitya parishat, fun club, sports, fine arts, decoration, technoforum, printing and publishing etc you can be the member of any of the society of your interest and take part in different internal and external events organised by the societies. Labs are normal not that much sophisticated with equipmentz but enough for you to learn and grow if you wish to.

Hostel are good not that much we'll equipped and loaded with all facilities but enough for you to live a comfortable life to study for four years. The only and biggest problem with hostels is of cold. Only few rooms get sunlight while others are dark and you have to open electricity for the entire day specially the rooms of first year in girls hostel.

Alumni cell is not that much active but yes seniors are quite helpful and supportive. You can seek their advice and help. They have more friendly nature than that of a senior and you can rely on them for any personal problem and support needed.

One semesters have mainly three exams as recommended by the university. Which includes two internal exam and one external exam.Among with it surprise test, presentations, seminars and other things keeps on going.

As mentioned already that I gave the exam of jee and after getting my jee result based on my state and all India ranking I got admission at Birla Institute of Applied Sciences Bhimtal through counselling conducted by uttarakhand technical University.

The college faculty is average, it requires more self efforts and hard work but they are quite helpful and not completely ignorant specially electronics and communication faculty is pretty good and is always ready to provide you with a helping hand. You can rely on them for any doubts or concern, but no can do spoonfeeding. It all depends on your efforts and response you are giving.
